I redownloaded the mYvBindex.php and made sure I changed the full path for the chdir first... Then I uploaded it over the old one. I ended up with an error, but I think this has to do with my special modification....so I re-uploaded the old index.php and it set the news posts back to the first post showing. I know it doesn't make much sense to me either. I have to say though, I just noticed yesterday, that one of my older news posts has a reply post showing...fortunately it's old and not as big a deal. Something is still a little out of wack with it. I can't figure it out, but maybe what I did will help you with a temp fix too until Tigga gets back from his gig. :) |
oh, I saved my old one somewhere else first ...don't just upload over it (just in case)...my bad for not saying that clearly. :speechless:

Bummer, didn't work for me
thats an odd problem.... are you still running the same version of vb when you installed myvbindex?
Yep, it is a new install of both on a new server. I looked at the code and can't find where it specifies which post from the thread to use.
it should just grab the first post, i think vb2's version works by pulling / putting the first new post into a differnt table and then displaying it, because i remember, when i had some announcments in my announcement thread they didnt show up unless i reposted them

yes.... under the sytle fonts colors and properties
Hmmm...any idea what that table would be? I can't see it in the code. I am a PHP newbie so I may just be simply missing it, but I can't figure this out for the life of me.
Kinda need to get it fixed as it is messing up the current news items. |
