Hey VBDev

I seem to be having problems with the installation for the Shoutbox, I'm trying to install version v1.4 onto a VBulletin 3.6.8 and seem to be having a few issues with it.

Here's my post on another section of the forum for you to think about

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=158016

Any suggestions?

By looking at all your messages, I think you haven't imported both product through the vbulletin product manager of the acp. (the product from the p folder)

Hi Guys, Im still having issues with my chat being to wide. It does not fit properly on my forum home page. I am running legacy and have side bars on the left side. I believe if i turn of the side bars, everything fits on a page again without having to scroll all the way to the right to view all of the chat. Is there any way in the program to make the chat narrower? my home forum is www.socalireefs.com/forums you can not view the chat without registering. Any clue on how I can let guest view the chat also. Help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks -M

Hi,

Have you tried disabling some of the chatbox's bbcode and also the width of the chat input (both are in options) so that the chatbox get less wide ?

Thanks heaps man! I got it to work but I'm actually curious whenever I tried to type the command like /me for example it does not show the username as whatever /me command does but I do get an error message that pops up saying...

"Error: Command Syntax is incorrect"

Any suggestions to sort that out?

Are you sure of the syntax for the /me command you have used ?

Check the help button in the chatbox it gives information on the different commands.

Is anyone else having issues with the pm in the chatbox? It was working great in version 1.4, but now since upgrade I get a message "User does not exist" I also did a fresh install on another board and get the same error.

Please advise.

Becareful, the command syntax has changed and there was also a small error in the mgc_chatbox.js file which has been corrected since.

This is in the usergroup permissions, you must set "Can view who's online" to yes for the desired usergroups :)

I do have the " can view who's online" in the general options and "can see who is online in the chatbox" in the chatbox options of the usergroups set to YES. where is this info supposed to be displayed?

You have to click on the button on the left of the chatbox (the one with a plug).

IS there a way to move the shoutbox under the statistics insstead of under the forums?

Where my forum ends the shoutbox will show and then the statistics, who's on line and other mods I have installed.

Thanks
