Very Very Very impressive may i say,

got a small problem thou :ermm:

I have set up a news forum on my forum just so admins can load up stories to be viewed on vbindex now,

I have set the permissions so that only admins can see (on the forum)

IF a non-admin goes to vbindex he/she will see the story but since I have the "readmore" on when they click on it they then get

you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
because they are not permissioned on the forums :disappointed:

is there a way round this at all ?

In the VBindex portion of the admincp - there is an option that lets you specificy how much of the news post will be shown... choose the option that lets them see the whole story.

Alternately... Try setting the parent forum as hidden but open in the admincp ... that should keep the 'news' subforum off the main page view but let your members see the full article.

Hope this helps in some way.
