I think you should install WinRAR (www.winrar.com) or if already done so associate the .rar extension with WinRAR :)

That was not the problem. WinRar and WinZip are both installed on my computer.

It was my failing. :nervous: It's better, when i go to bed now.

BTW: Hey du bist ja auch aus Bayern, MrZeropage :smoke:

@Harry72:
Ja klar :D

Re. pnflashgames.com need some info. Will IBProArcade run any game downloaded from pnflashgames.com or do I need to look for info that a game runs on IBProArcade. If the latter, I can't find info in the game details on which games system it runs on. Help please. Thank you.

Anyone else having problems downloading the games ?

R

Probably anyone using Mozilla Firefox will have problems downloading because Firefox doesn't recognise the rar format and downloads it as a text file. The remedy is to use Internet Explorer. btw thank you for hosting the download. I'm in the process of downloading it.

Flow Fusion 11-20-2005 11:05 AM

Can I get some help on setting permissions to allow members to play this?

soniceffect 11-20-2005 12:35 PM

flow fusion - go to admincp ... go to arcade ... go to user permissions then set up as needed ...... enjoy m8 :)

Hi,

Can anyone verify if the the rar has duplicate games ?
Maybe the installer needs to skip games with duplicate names?

And here is a screenshot ..

MrZeropage 11-20-2005 02:49 PM

@kewl1uk:
All PNflashgames should be compatible to ibProArcade, but vb.org-member micheal332001 could give more precise information on that I guess ;)

@Flow Fusion:
You are not using any version of this "new" ibProArcade, what you have seems to be the original old 2.5.1 - I won't support that as I don't know exactly which functions/feature are in there as my version has alot of AddOns included.
Please wait for this new ibProArcade 2.5.2+ to get support here :)

Harry72 11-20-2005 03:37 PM

Is there any Multiplayermodus like the new V3Arcade in the new IBPro 2.5.2+ included Mr. Zeropage ? :nervous:

There isn't any multi-player function in the new V3Arcade yet. As I understand the situation, coding on the multi-player option hasn't even been started. It's just a proposed function which may or may not be available and which may or may not be free.

friendly 11-20-2005 03:59 PM

Besides the obvious fact that people here seem way more enthusiastic, how different is ipb pro arcade than v3arcade?

I've used v3 arcade prior to upgrading to 3.5 and I'd be glad to pay the $60 fee, but trying to get any information on the v3arcade forum is like pulling teeth.

I'm so confused right now about what to do. I don't like having a blank page for the arcade on my site since we upgraded to 3.5

Help!

Ups, thx for this Info. :disappointed:
Well, i don't like to pay $60.
I will test the new IBPro Arcade 2.5.2+ from Mr.Zeropage.

Yes, the IBPro Arcadesystem looks very good. :rolleyes:

Besides the looks are a bit different I am not seeing much on the Player end. From what I am reading on there site, game installation is the done the same way it was in the older version unless you pen up your server and admincp functions for their server to install them for you. And remove them too.

Not 100% on this as I don't have their system installed. They lost me at allow_url_fopen.

friendly 11-20-2005 05:42 PM

Thanks tcs,

I'm not a programmer and so I have to weigh my options simply because each upgrade costs me money. I've spent quite a bit on v3arcade - install, upgrades, adding more games and so on.

My users are not typically game players, but I've got people like an elderly lady who loves to play some simple games and another kid who's a real game freak.

Is there a utility that would import settings and games from v3arcade? Also, I usually like developers of a product to do the install if possible and wonder if MrZeropage is open to doing this for a fee.

Cheers...

MrZeropage 11-20-2005 06:58 PM

@friendly:
If you want, I can do that for you. A converter is not available yet but I started one for v3arcade->ibProArcade in a lazy minute I had ;) but it's not finished and untested

@tcs:
Gameinstallation in ibProArcade is very simple, just upload the tar/zip-Archive to the corresponding /arcade folder and install using the AdminCP-Functions of ibProArcade :)
Nothing with Serveraccess or any automation (even on removal of games)...

@Harry72 & kewl1uk:
While there is a multiplayer-feature planned for v3 this ibProArcade brings along its compatibility with PNflashgames, and there were some multiplayer-PNflashgames that could be played within ibProArcade. I saw this on a Betaversion of my ibPro at one of the testers site, and it was very impressive. But as a matter of fact the webmaster of PNflashgames is currently looking for a possibility to host those multiplayergames somewhere as his trafficcosts explode ;) So we may wait for him to represent those multiplayergames and use them in our Arcade's.
Please notice that PNflashgames are not for free, you have to buy a License and enter its Licensecode in ibProArcade. But it's worth :)

friendly 11-20-2005 07:16 PM

Cheers Mr ZeroPage, I'll send you a PM...

Sorry got off on a rant about v3Arcade. Won't happen agian.

I did mean to add that the IBProarcade system is ultra simple to manage your games and features.

I have noticed that there are a lot of free games on pnflashgames.com so presumably I won't have to buy a license for these. btw when clicking the homepage link of the game author/converter on the free games lists, the homepage is sometimes IBProArcade running on a VB board :)

@Flow Fusion:
As far as I see your "old" ibProArcade is not adapted to vBulletin 3.5.x so it won't run. Please wait some more days for the release of this new Arcade instead of wasting time with the old thing, ok ?

@Kacela:
Please understand that I won't start porting the old ibPro to vB 3.5.x and manually fix all the things I did in my new version. He should wait for it...

kall 11-21-2005 08:50 AM

Got a couple of bugs for you dude..

Get an implode bad arguments error in AdminCP - Usergroup Permissions admincp/arcade.php line 3164 when updating permissions.

Also, posts per day don't work:
Quote:

mySQL query error: SELECT COUNT(pid) AS amount FROM vb35_posts WHERE post_date>1132549200 AND author_id=1

mySQL error: Table 'enhance_vb35.vb35_posts' doesn't exist

MrZeropage 11-21-2005 09:09 AM

which Test-Version do you have ?

kall 11-21-2005 09:14 AM

4.5 I think.

JTyson 11-21-2005 10:04 AM

The v3arcade mass installer has just been sent to MrZeropage.

Also with the implode error a little debug shows
Warning: implode() [function.implode]: Bad arguments.
Code:

$categories = $_POST[ $id."_catperm" ];
echo $categories;
$cats = implode("," , $categories);

The echo outputs "ArrayArrayArrayArrayArrayArrayArray"

But you probably know that by now :)

I understand, but I was repeating what you had told him earlier when he asked for help with v2.5.1 on v3.5.x in this thread - I was trying to make Flow Fusion understand that this is not the thread he should be asking for help in for the illegal version he has. The "erm face" was for him, as he apparently didn't read your first response.

MrZeropage 11-21-2005 12:17 PM

Aaaah got, now even me got that ;) :D

tteal 11-21-2005 12:33 PM

Can't wait - looking forward to this one as my current install of the arcade (ibProArcade v2.5.1) has been having issues ever sice our latest server upgrade. ;)

TTG 11-21-2005 02:04 PM

thankfully my 2.5.1 has been running smoothly since installation :)

MrZeropage .. I must say I'm impressed by your level of support for this new release .. well done m8.

Will there be an upgrade possible to your release for us old 2.5.1 users ?

Hey.
I already have 1044 games.
How do I remove and install this ?
or simply overwrite the files ?
or skip the files //

how about a mass uninstall and mass-reinstall .. how to do this ..

also, is it possible to just delete games and add new version/games without touching the high scores of the players?

MrZeropage 11-21-2005 04:18 PM

If anybody would like to test a conversion from old ibProArcade 2.5.1 to my new version, just send me PM and I provide a preGOLD.
I guess it should work that everything works and nothing gets lost, but it's untested yet. Be sure to make a backup before testing this, maybe better to make a mirror of the current installation for testing purposes...
