2. how do you set how much a user gets for posting or w/e?

Revan for v3 can you please give a description in the admin notes, what each stat is used for like speed and evade?

There seems to be a hidden "feature" in this.

I haven't actually been able to get it to work yet but I've had it reported to me twice already. Seemingly there is a way where if you're hurt you can choose the smallest amount of healing and you get it for free but you just have to click it 50 times or sometihng.

That is done in the store which is a separate hack.

Im also going to look thoroughly over each of the calculations in this hack, this way I learn better how they work, plus I can tweak anything I feel should be tweaked :)

If the Heal Cost is set low enough, like 1 per healing, and HP values are high enough, you will be able to heal yourself for $0 cost and 1% healing.
This Ive squished in v3 tho, now it will not display a healing option if Heal Cost is set, but the actual Heal Cost in the Center is 0.
It still lets you heal if you have Heal Cost set to 0 in ACP tho, don't worry.

A couple of major bugs I am experiencing...

1) Experience doesn't seem to be getting given accordingly. (it stays the same after a battle even though it is set to be given 5 exp every turn with a modifier of 2)

2) If you heal at the healing center, after healing yourself to the most you can, your MA becomes 4444/4444 and your PP becomes 7000/7000-ish.

what is the template parts while in a battle arena?

1) You have to update your stats after battle to have the EXP gains added.

2) Thats probably the modifiers screwing up, try setting MA/PP to 0.003

Eh hehe I'm back again.
It seems I have a different problem with my the character MA this time.
For some reason I think there's some reason with the modifier for it. After I update my stats after changing class or something it seems to count my MA only from elements.

So basically it would decrease my MA to something it shouldn't be. I've checked it with other characters afterwards and found that everyone else who hasn't done this still has what seems like the right amount. :confused:

Im sorry but I cannot provide a way of doing it with v2, because the way stats is calculated is very different between the two versions, and adding such a mod to v2 would require at least 100 lines of code, as opposed to 2 lines of code in v3 ;)


I know the stats calculations are fecked up in v2, but I have never encountered THIS.... :ermm:
But I can tell you that Classes and MA are not linked together, IIRC.
If you look in the ACP, you wont find a way to set Class MA modifier, will you ;)

Oh, all I meant was that when I check "update stats" even if I don't do anything the MA will change. I think it then resets itself back correctly after battle. I don't believe this even happens all the time. I don't know, it's weird.

ok, question here and i would apreciate if you would answer this guy in need of help. I [tried] to install the hack, but it does not show nothing in the index or the posts or nothing. It shows the functions in the admin cp but i can not start battles, can not update rpg info in proflile, but the link is there, and i can not see the itemshop. I am having trouble with the cash mod as well(although i know that this is not the place, perhaps you can help me with this). Maybe you forgot to import the templates and/or phrases in the acp?

yeah, i think that is it, i just dont how how to import the templates or phrases to the ACP, i am really new to vBulletin so i really dont know how this thing works. But i mean, nothing works, i cant see staats in posts, i cant edit the rpg stats, and when i try to change something it says "can not find [whatever i was trying to change".

(umm, i also installed this before i installed ucash and ushop, so that also might be a problem =/ )

ok, i uploaded the template file in the ACP(a friend tole me how to do it), but i can not upload the phrases. This is what happens.

EDIT: Removed the thing. I uloaded and installed both the language and the phrases, but the same thing happens, i can not battle or do anything of the sort.

Hey I am opening a Power Ranger based community. How hard would this be to customize it to suit that? I really have no good ideas, but it'd be cool if people could battle each other, and also when their board have some type of battle system to battle all prevoius villans from the shows. Any takes on this? Anyone love PRs too and want to help me :D hehe reply or pm with any info thanks!

well, what you can possibly do is change the character sprites so that it shows the power rangers instead of the classical rpg characters, as for weapons, that one would be more difficult, you would have to get someone to modify all of the imtems to fit shows. As for the bosses, i dont know.

Is it possible to reset all characters but keep everything else?

Well I have a clean vB3 right now, brand new never edited 1 bit, I'll install this and see what I can do, if worst comes to worst, I'll just redo my vB no biggy.

uhh glitchy glitch, i don't think illever use a RPG hack their just too betay for my liking ... anyways back to the start of a clean vB without a RPG sorry but not for me.

If you are sure you imported the phrases and templates (instructions on how to do so is clearly written in the readme), and did all file and template edits, then it does work.

Will i need to add the uCash uShop system in order to gain money from the RPG?

There seems to be something wrong with the restocking in my itemshop. The restocking time is at the default of one week. It's been over a week and nothing seems to have restocked. Did I forget to set something?

Also, I don't suppose it'd be possible now or perhaps in the future to set different max stocks for the item types would it? For example, I would like something around 20 HP potions to stock up each week but only 3 or 4 of certain weapons.

OK, thanks for the help in the installation, and i know i am getting to be a annoyment, but i have some other few problems. First, the main forum does not show the links to all the places like the RPG CP or the Heal.php or the clan.php or all of those. Also, in the posts, i can not see the stats as it should normaly show them. You know, like the image of the character, the exp and the hp and mp and pp, it does not show them in the posts. I would like to see if you could help me with this,.

You will need to install uCS to not have the RPG spawn errors all over the place ;)


It picks a random number between your min stock and max stock and adds to that stock.
Im not sure about v2, but in v3 it restocks whenever your stock is below the min stock number. Im also adding restocking option from ACP, and option to turn auto restock off.

umm, i do have the images uploaded, but it still does not appear in the post. I have attached my showpost.php and showthread.php maybe there is a mistake there so i want to see if you can take a look at it and see if you can find what i did wrong.

You are not allowed to attach complete vbulletin files.
But I can tell you that in order to get the rpg hack working, it would be helpful if you actually did the file edits as instructed in the readme.... :lick:

Will v3 be upgradable from 2.5.3? I sincerely hope so because I've made a heap of edits to get RPG installed (only to not use it :P Well my testers did, but not the public members)? Please say yes!
