In the vB Admin CP, edit the gallery instance and make sure the image/thumb height/width is set to something. I suggest 150x150 for the thumbs and 800x600 for the full image size.

all on STANDARD and the Error is the same ..

It's hard to say what it is without taking a look!

This is a server issue, not a bug in our mod. If the SimpleXML library isn't installed correctly, or the YouTube server didn't return the expected output, that can happen.

Sorry, i should've done this earlier, but Yes. If you get "Missing Image" in the gallery that means you need to change the file permission for upload folder via FTP. You have to change file permission of upload folder and sub-folders in it to 0777 and it will work.

How to access : /your forum root/dbtech/gallery/images/upload (change to 0777) / 1( change to 0777) leave the rest on default.

What it does, any pics you upload in gallery goes into that upload/1 folder and if u have permission anything other then 0777 it won't upload images, but once u change it to 0777 and u go to upload/1/1/full or thumbnail ... folder you will see ur images in there and you will be able to see them in your gallery as well.

As of now if you attach an image from computer while creating new thread, it shows up in the gallery, but if you put an image url from 3rd party it doesn't.

Is this option available and i am missing it or it's not an option at all ??? Or any code i can add somewhere so it can pick images which are being posted via url as well ??

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, doesn't clicking the image bring up the full image?

That's because they use two similar, but different methods of upload.

1 - No. i was able to get a larger view of image by changing my album settings width & lengths from 800x600 to like 2000x2000. However i didn't like idea of changing it to 2000.

I really loved this mod, but unfortunately uninstalling it for the above reason. If you guys ever come up with this option as well where image can be shown in gallery which are being posted via url method as well... I will definitely have it back. Or if you can suggest any way to do it.

Have you created a gallery instance? Before importing vBalbums. I had the same problem, also make sure your folder called dbtech/gallery/images/upload is set to 755

Hey Dave, do i need to delete all the images at this point before CMOD 755 the folder and then reinstall?

I think you get an option to overwrite your last attempt, when importing again.

From here do i now import all the images via ACP > DBTech - Gallery > Gallery Import > Import VB Albums

Yes, that looks 100% you also need to set up your max thumb width and max image size. If you don't set this you'll get the missing image error..

You might want to run on over to the 'DragonByte' site. You will receive a faster response from the authors there. Sorry, I have no experience with this modification. :)

Are you running the free version or the paid version? If I have time later before my flight, I will load it up on my test site.

We have the full version of this mod, and it's far from dead, it's the complete article IMO

free version. i've posted on there site before with the google map mod and not got a reply. another one that looks dead. i think their focus is on optomise, DBseo and there was one other they're working on too.

You appear to have missing files on your server, please re-download the mod and re-upload the contents of the "upload" folder to the folder your forum.php and other files are in :)
