For Priority Support, you can post your query at our forums :)

The reason why the URL is like that is because of what you've set as the "Forum URL" in the vBulletin Options.

Hi, are there any performance implications if we don't prune?

Not unless you have a massive database of several tens of millions of rows.

In the email notification to members when they are tagged - is it possible to display the thread title with the link? I have tried adding $threadinfo[threadtitle] to the phrase but it's just coming up blank in the email. Many thanks for any suggestions.

The @OP: doesn't seem to be working for me on 3.8.5, it's just leaving a blank space where the username is supposed to be, and when editing a previous post I'm getting this database error:

There is zero reason to pay attention to HTML validation errors.

So when you navigate to your site you see those errors pop up? Are they emailed to you? Are they in your server error logs? Where are you seeing these errors?

blind-eddie 12-08-2014 11:46 AM

Those errors are from http://validator.w3.org/

ozzy47 12-08-2014 11:48 AM

Then as Fillip pointed out, no need to worry about it.

I think the problem is not about if need or no need to worry about it , but their presence in the foundation Is what worries

ozzy47 you do not know what are you say
before you ask me "So when you navigate to your site you see those errors pop up? Are they emailed to you? Are they in your server error logs? Where are you seeing these errors?" bla bla bla

and now you say "no need to worry about it" !!!!!!!!!!

If provided anything , must be on fullest

This is working as intended if the member in question does not have permission to access the forum where the mention/quote/tag is displayed.

You will not receive an answer, because this is not a problem, bug or issue. Literally nothing about your forum is negatively impacted in any way, shape or form.

Why do not you reform w3c errors and warnings !

i will tell all my friends

bad product

The reason why is that the time and labour cost involved in doing so massively outstrips any benefit gained. Our customers would prefer we spend 100 hours creating new features for our product than checking over every line of code to make sure every single '&' is picked up perfectly by W3C validity tools. None of the 'errors' showing have any impact on users of the site.

If I can make an analogy, would you rather be treated by the surgeon with the neatest stitching, or the one who has spent more hours practising actual surgery? Personally, I would prefer the latter.

I hope that explains why we do not see W3C validation as a high priority for our limited time.

Kind Regards

Iain

this mod support in vB 4.2.2?

ozzy47 12-14-2014 11:00 PM

vB4 version is here, [DBTech] Advanced User Tagging v3 (vB4)

DragonByte Tech 12-15-2014 05:17 PM

Advanced User Tagging v3.2.2

Changes to Existing Features:

(Pro) Profile Settings
  • Disabling features via the AdminCP will now also remove the corresponding settings from the UserCP

Bug Fixes:
  • Disabling the vBShout integration would not remove the Shoutbox tabs.
  • The Profile block would display a database error if the new @OP: feature was used.

I´m having problems with the email alerts when users are mentioned. A few weeks ago worked fine, then I changed the SMTP Password in vbulltin general options, and then the email alerts for this mod stoped working. Any idea??

The other email features of vbulletin work fine.

DragonByte Tech 12-29-2014 04:44 PM

This modification uses the same email code as the rest of vBulletin, it's not affected in any other way by changing the email sending settings.

Hello,

in Pro version:

- when I disable Hashes, config option at bottom is shown in User control panel.
- when I disable Hashes, link is shown in community Links (and not shown when option is enabled).

Is a new installation.

You need to ask on their site, this thread is for the lite version discussion only. :)

Advanced User Tagging v3.2.2 Patch Level 1

Bug Fixes:
  • (vB4) Editor-enabled pages would not load correctly with the AUT modification active

We have modified some templates (sendmessage, sendtofriend...) for security reasons, someone has been using this functions to send thousand of spam emails from our server.

Does DragonByte Tech uses any of this templates for sending an email to any user when is mentioned??
