I do have an issue, but it seems it's not too important. I get the following error message on the top of the screen when I open the "media" tab.

Code:

Notice: Use of undefined constant E_DEPRECATED - assumed 'E_DEPRECATED' in /media.php on line 13
Video from youtube still loads and plays perfectly.

A feature request: Allow the smilies we have to show in the comment box. Unless I missed a setting somewhere.

marked installed and 5 stars

typo alert:::
::: #3 of the installation instructions reads - " Import the product file called "product-media.xml" in the Product Manager of vBulletin." The file name in the package is "product-medialibrary.xml"

Fixed in next version... apparently... E_DEPRECATED has been... uhh... deprecated...

If Jaxel is interested I can share the files, and he can ignore/use/recode to his hearts desire and release if he sees fit, as it is his MOD :)

Regards

The thing I dont like about the fisheye is that the menu covers the input box. You cant click on the input box if your mouse is anywhere near the menu. And as we add more hoster services, the menu will get bigger and bigger till you can't click on anything.

Ok that image is just a TAD too big... lol

The link you're looking for isn't in Admin CP. It's on the forum page under the Media tab. You adjust the categories straight from the forum... if you have the permissions set correctly.

Fair comment,

The issue we have is no one will post videos.

So we asked them why.

Essentially, the interface scares the majority. Which I find mad. But they dont realise how to add videos etc.

I havent tried this yet, but as you know: using a related video url from youtube doesnt work with vb, how does this effect Media Library ?

Can the URL be pruned automatically of the ( &feature=related )

When will the upload function be available? I will try this again once it is :D

Until then I better just sit back and watch and learn.

Nope... I didn't scroll far enough to the right to see the whole 3000px image. Having said that, isn't that the link right there saying "categories: random media?"

I see what you mean. You're missing the Admin links to the right. The only thing I can think of is that the permissions on the profile you're using isn't correct. I had this issue once trying to fix something and wasn't using my 'admin' profile. I was using a working profile that I added to the usergroup admin but it still didn't have all the correct permissions as a regular admin.

Just thinking out loud here.

================================================== =========
Version 4.0.7 BIG BUGFIX ROLLUP
================================================== =========
UPGRADERS: If you are upgrading to 4.0.7 follow these steps:
  1. Delete the entire directory /media and all files within it.
  2. Upload contents /upload folder of ZIP file to your forum root.
  3. Import product-medialibrary.xml as a product, allow overwrite.
  4. Run http://URLtoYourForums/media.php?do=admin_host_restore
  • NEW FEATURE: Service Hosters now support secondary service values! This is important for video hosters such as Hulu which purposely obfuscate their embed codes.
  • NEW FEATURE: Submission form for media will now validate fields.
  • NEW FEATURE: Category Descriptions will now parse BBCode.
  • CHANGES: Service Hosters no longer require semicolons at the end of fields.
  • CHANGES: Regex now use # delimeters, so / no longer needs to be \ cancelled.
  • BUG FIX: Comments and Editing boxes have been fixed! This issue was related to the guide here on vb.org being wrong about how to valdiate WYSIWYG textboxes. As a temporary fix, a plugin has been installed that will completely disable WYSIWYG options inside of the Media Library.
  • BUG FIX: ~E_DEPRECATED has been removed, since it has been depricated... oh irony.
  • BUG FIX: Loading media details will no longer prompt a javascript error for favorites.
  • BUG FIX: Thumbnail compression will now default to GD only, until I can find a fix for ImageMagick.
  • BUG FIX: Tags will now strip the following characters from any entry:
    # $ ? & @ % + = ^ | : ; / \ < > { } [ ]

These characters are reserved URI characters and were giving problems with tags. This fix will fix any NEW tags, however this will not affect your existing tags. I recommend everyone to head to their administrate tags panel and delete any tags which contain any of these characters.
  • BUG FIX: More miscellaneous code and template revisions...

svandanam 05-07-2010 09:20 PM

Nothing happens when clicked on fav(heart)..it just takes me to a blank media library page. I uninstalled everything and tried again..but same error :-(

oops..just saw the new release..gonna try installing it and see.

Just installed the 4.0.7 version...still same issues..except this time instead of going to a blank media page..it just refreshes to the video page.

Its supposed to refresh the video page...

You start at video page - not favorite
You end at video page - favorite

If you enable AJAX functions on your forum, then it wont need to refresh at all. You can tell when the video is marked as a favorite, because the colors of the heart reverse...

Not favorite: heart = grey; hover = red
Favorite: heart = red; hover = grey

rammieone... the permission problem has been rooted down to a conflict with VSA mods.

Its weird, I am looking through MySpace's API, and they actually DO have exportable individual XML feeds... so if I were to take this video...

http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...eoid=103421543

I would find the XML here... they even have JSON

http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...eoid=103421543

Sounds great right? Unfortunately, no... if you look at the xml for myspace you will find a distinct lack of a very specific piece of information... THE DESCRIPTION! WTF?! Those guys at myspace are retarded. I mean just look at the URLs to their videos, they are so obfuscated that I need to program in multiple replacements just to pass the URL through the URI.

Any idea how/if I can change the minimum characters for the category titles? At the moment the minimum is 5 I'd like to change it to 4.
