Maybe you will need the full http://... to the images in order to make them run. Also make sure the images don't require web authentication, else they are not visible to guests. ;)

Yes.

You will have to create 20 banner records for the home page and additional 5 banner records for the specific section.

If you would have 20 global banner records (no filters) and additional 5 banner records for the specific section, the specific section will rotate also the globally visible banners in addition to the section banners.

Reading now. I see that it will support 10 locations. So that would be The main forum plus 9 of the boards.

It doesn't mean that :)

A location is merely a group of banner types, such as horizontal and vertical, text and graphical banners. You may apply many filters to each of these groups.

I am using this plugin on a commercial site and I actually use 3 locations only. 10 locations are really over the top.

You may have, for example, location 0 banners in the logo, between messages and at the bottom of all of your pages, but you may show only part of all banners in specific forum sections and/or to specific usergroups.

If you think about 10 locations, on a large board you have literally milions of different possibilities to show a single banner.

I can get position 0 to show great, but when I try 1 or 2 etc. it doesn't show...

You will also need to add somewhere the <!--@vbbanners:1@--> and <!--@vbbanners:2@--> placeholders in your templates :)

This is a great mod thanks for your work on it. I have successfully put the ads on three different places on the page ie. header, footer and under the threads.

I am having a problem having any of the banners showing up within a thread or posts, has anyone else had the same problem? I also cannot get the vertical ads to display. I have copied positions that are working.

My last problem is that this line shows up just above the Whats going on? section of the forum:
ad_forum_below_threadlist

Anybody know how to get rid of it, it maybe not be related to the mod.

If the sections don't allow HTML, probably vBulletin cleans out HTML comments or convert < and > into &lt; and &gt;, which then results in missing banners. In this case you will have to replace the placeholders with something else (in the options, e.g. @vbbanners:%d@ and in the templates, e.g. @vbbanners:0@)

I must be missing something.... Can I get a little help. I uploaded the parts that needed to go in the admincp, includes, and put the other two files where the "index.php" was then I installed the product. Everything went fine. By default it looked like two banners were turned on I refreshed my forum homepage but it wasn't showing anything. Do I need to do anything within "Style Manager"? Sorry if you answered this question a thousand times. I'm using 4.0.2.

Oh well, maybe ... it can be used to rotate forum logo's.

It will not work with CSS, if they are imported as files - it may work with CSS inserted in a page, but I never tried this ...

i choosed 3 banners locations for my site at the moment
Position 0 at ad_navbar_below <center><!--@vbbanners:0@--></center>
Position 1 at ad_footer_start <center><!--@vbbanners:1@--></center>
Position 2 at ad_archive_above_content1 <!--@vbbanners:2@-->

Position 0 and 1 , header and footer banners are working fine but position 2 banner is not working also if i try to add more google adsense or any banner anywhere none of them are showing

I never tried ad_archive_above_content1 ... but the banner impression count is 3, thus I believe it works (?)

Please try the duplicate button and make just a few changes to the duplicates, such as a different image, different times, forum sections, whatever you wish.

The most common mistake is to select accidentally a filter which is then strictly applied, such as an impression limit, a section with a different style and no placeholder ... ;)

nope it is not working i tried few others template too like ad_showthread_firstpost_sig and few more ad position is 2 and in template the code is <!--@vbbanners:2@-->

I'm trying to find a way to make my forum background change when page changes or refresh and i don't know any mod doing that.

Anyone having trouble getting the banner to appear on 4.02. Another banner set up was tried as well and could get nothing to show up.

I can confirm that it doesn't work correctly in 4.02.

It actually did work for me in the sense that it would display and rotate at least some of the banners but it conflicted with core 4.02 features (to be honest I forget which ones - after the upgrade to 4.02 so much had changed that i had to disable 3 or 4 add-ons and rework some others).

I hadn't noticed before you guys got me to look, but my banner below the navbar has disappeared, but my banner above the footer is still fine. 402pl1

For some reason when I use the click tracking function, it does not count clicks from banners on vBadvanced pages. Any ideas? It works everywhere else.

I managed to get this mod working in v4.0.2 but cant figure out how to place two rotating 468x60 banners side by side in the ad_navbar_below template. Also have a problem adding a side column. Sorry if Ive overlooked the obvious:erm:

Just put two placeholders side by side and make sure you have at least 2 banners in your database, e.g.:

Hi, the rotator works with (vBulletin 4.0.2 Patch Level 1), but only the placeholder <!--@vbbanners:0@--> work. All other placeholder ic can´t getting work. I imported the hotfix with replace addon...

Using this with success on 3.8.4 and working fine on normal forum pages. But when integrating PhotoPost (Gallery), the banners I have put in the left column do not show. I see <!--@vbbanners:1@--> in the source, so it definitely calls for the code (which shows correctly on other forum pages). Any idea why it does not work?

I have this installed on 3.8.2 and works perfect. I recently installed a 4.0.2 VB and installed this (including latest patch) the default google ads show but copying text from my 3.8.2 banners doesn't show up? Here's what I inserted into the text box

Nevermind fixed. Adding the new banner defaulted the start date to tomorrow so it wouldn't show. Reset start date and banner now shows up. Thx for the mod.
