***UPDATES***

I don't even have the time (and more honestly, the memory) to tell you what all is included in this update. It's a lot. Both new and remade definitions. I'll list them all here, but I won't be able to do my usual detailed explanation of what's what, mainly because I've been working in it so long, I kind of forget what all I changed site by site. Also, there was no point making you update a bunch of seperate XLMs, so your getting a brand new Master XML file. It's not completely redone, as I've only gotten about halfway through the full list, but it's just too large a list of updates to make you import one at a time, so the most sensible thing would be to have you start fresh. Export any custom definitions you want to keep, and delete everything else to import these.

On the other hand, for Local Hosted definitions, I only revamped one, and made another. So there's no need to delete all your Local Hosted if you don't have to. Just delete MP3 to import these and do the proper edits.

Ah, yes... I just read somewhere that the deep linking feature is not yet available for embeds.

I'm sure it's nice to have the added work you've done to the master list, but it would be handy to have the added work saved to it's own xml for install. ;)

I tried uploading the new master list xml, deselected all of which I have installed already because the duplicate code thing....but it still tells me that I have duplicate codes found and won't continue. Not sure what I'm not doing or doing wrong.

That's a preventive measure in AME 2.0+ to keep you from importing duplicate definitions. I didn't think there was a way to "deselect" definitions during import. You have to delete all your existing definitions, with maybe the exception of Local Hosted, and import the new one.

Note that I've dropped support for LongIslandOnline.

What about raw vegas?

For daily motion video's i am getting the following error. Does anyone have any idea what may cause this

When you upload the new xml, you have the option of deselecting "yes" to import through each and every definition. But apparently it doesn't like you doing that as it still won't accept those parameters.

Raw Vegas should be working. Remember, in my notes I mentioned that Raw Vegas uses Javascript to generate their player, and the inline AJAX elements of vB don't like external Javascript. The video will still show to anyone loading the page, but on the initial Quick Reply/Quick Edit, you won't see anything until you refresh the page.

Which definitions have you decided you don't want to delete. It's possible you still have some duplicate definitions.

I just went the route of deselecting every definition of the ones I already have and wanted to upload the new definitions that make up the xml file. I haven't went the route of deleting all definitions and re-installing the new xml yet.

If you haven't made any crucial edits to your existing definitions, then the best thing would be to just delete them all and import the new Master. Just picking the ones you have will mean you'll miss out on a large number of definitions that I had to completely redo because the sites changed their embed code and/or URL structure. Some definitions have been split into two definitions and some have been changed completely due to domain name changes.

No, as I said, I didn't add anything to the Main ZIP. I'll do individual XML inclusions a little bit later, but I have some other things to catch up on for the moment. If you have all sites installed anyway, the best thing to do is delete all and import the Master.

Deleted old definitions and reinstalled new. Worked like a champ!

Sounds like a bug in 2.5, as the definition wouldn't be causing this on it's own.


Oh, it's more involved then that. Try building your definition inside the AME CP rather then trying to make an XML file from scratch. From what I can see, you don't need an Embed Regexp and you've just used embed code from a random definition rather then using the code your site actually uses. Also, your RegEx pattern doesn't even remotely match your website URLs. Go to post 3 in this thread and read over the tutorials if you interested in making them yourself. Your regex has to match your site URLs, and your site's URLs don't use the words view_video in their strings and their not PHP pages. Something like:

I reinstalled the Definition ClipShare Demo after I got done playing with it and now it's not working..

When you remove Media Definitions do you just go to Amy and click delete then reinstall ???

There's a checkbox beside each definition called delete. Check the box and hit save at the bottom and the definition that was checked will be deleted.

You don't have the current definition installed, that's the old one. As I mentioned, I did not update the individual definitions in the Main ZIP just yet. You can only get the updated definitions for ClipShare Demo (there are 2 now) in the Master XML.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the master and it is still not working.. I don't know what happened all the other ones work fine..
it happened when I try to make that XML file from scratch.. I use the clipshare demo XML and imported it then removed it then try to reinstall the original one which I found out was the old one that I deleted all of them reinstall the master and it's not working... I guess it's no biggie lol

My mistake, I'm thinking of PokerTube. That's the one with the Javascript issue.

It should be embedding for you, as it doesn't rely on extraction to get the data. Check to verify that you have the Raw Vegas definition installed.
