I have the video sites set to their default values. It drove me nuts to have a youtube video open bigger then it was. I can make this an option.

sensimilla 08-28-2007 05:36 AM

tirol07 08-28-2007 08:28 PM

anymedia 3.1.0 not good old versiyon better.

nix 08-28-2007 09:50 PM

Would you care to share why?

Chadi 08-29-2007 01:51 AM

Can you please add godtube.com?

nix 08-29-2007 02:08 AM

Yea I can. I'll probably have an update out sometime tomorrow with some bug fixes and a couple of sites. I'll ad godtube to the list.

Seb@ 08-29-2007 03:20 AM

not work for me men in vb 3.6.8

nix 08-29-2007 03:26 AM

Did you goto your usergroup permissions and set it up?

Seb@ 08-29-2007 04:44 AM

<a href="http://www.imagechile.net/images/bwy1188366198d.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.imagechile.net/images/bwy1188366198d.jpg</a>

Yes, this is how it is set by default for every usergroup.

nix 08-29-2007 05:35 AM

What exactly isn't working?

You have to goto the usersgroups when you first install to rebuild the bitfields. Have you tried it since then?

Seb@ 08-29-2007 07:49 AM

yes, I tried it just now and when I use for example collegehumor.com link it remains untouched.
for example it appears as:
[media] college humor link [/media]

but when I do it with a youtube link the post disappears. every usergroup when I checked had anymedia enabled (both options). I am using vB 3.6.8, I don't know if that has happened to anyone else.

nix 08-29-2007 08:16 AM

Did you have anyMedia installed before? If you want to pm a link your board I'll take a look at it when I get home.

cunder 08-29-2007 08:42 AM

it worked perfectly anymedia3.1.0 with vBulletin? Version 3.6.8 Great job:up:

halcyoncmdr 08-29-2007 03:26 PM

For some reason this youtube link will not post

http://youtube.com/watch?v=PsHFFMzdU_U

I can get it to work with our backup youtube bbcode, so I know there is a video there, but anymedia won't parse it. Other youtube links work however.

If I put http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsHFFMzdU_U (adding the www) I get a database error.

Code:

Make sure that you went into the usergroups and rebuilt the permissions...

Kaleem 08-29-2007 07:32 PM

After installing the new one, whenever someone quick reply gets an error.

http://www.friendskorner.com/forum/p...hp/photo/37636

Someone else getting it or its just me ?

seanadl 08-29-2007 09:03 PM

Can i use a different flash player for this instead of the one that comes with the installation? Or can i even just use the default flash player that the site uses they are copying the URL from (eg youtube) ?

Both those links worked fine for me. I can't reproduce that error. I can take a look at your site if you would like.

You can change the thumbnail size in the css file. Though a lot of the sites thumbnails are small. Thats why I went with that size. If you want to center the thumbnail you can by the way of css also.

What do you see when you post a link?

I can't reproduce that. Do you have a default style you can try it on?

You can use any flash player for your own media. But you'll have to make sure the links etc are formated for it. All video sites use their own flash player.

Kaleem 08-29-2007 09:32 PM

yes default style does the same :) ERROR!

It posts but error show up

Kaleem 08-29-2007 09:40 PM

when i disable the product it works without error :)

seanadl 08-29-2007 09:40 PM

Can i disable entirely the use of users uploading their own videos and mp3's. i simply want users to be able to post video's off other sites like youtube..?

Yes.

seanadl 08-29-2007 09:52 PM

Excellent, how do i do this?

Currently some users have the ability to upload, which is fine.. but obviously i do not want things they upload (if they are mp3s) to show up in this media player..?

seanadl 08-29-2007 09:58 PM

Ok, i have a problem. When i attempt to post it under quick reply it simply displays the "media" tags..

and then when i go to post a youtube video, it simply displays an image of the video with a link to the youtube site... :-/

nix 08-29-2007 09:58 PM

If you allow mp3 uploads as attachments just turn off anymedia for attachments. You can also turn off mp3 for linked files. Its all in anymedia options.

I know about the quick reply.

Refresh the page in your browser with the youtube link.

seanadl 08-29-2007 10:05 PM

Ok thanks.

How do i turn off anymedia for attachments? Sorry for a dumb question like that.

Also, any reason why it doesn't play when posting a quick reply?

seanadl 08-29-2007 10:08 PM

Sorry.. again, in the images folder, its blank. So no thumbnail of the icon for the editor.

Roonie 08-29-2007 10:21 PM

Nix, when i complete de installation process, when i use the [media] tag, i just dont get any result. its appears as i wrote:

[media]http://server.com/file.mp3[/media]

Just don't get any result :(

seanadl 08-29-2007 10:22 PM

refresh the page :D

You'll see two options in anymedia options under vbulletin options.

seanadl 08-29-2007 10:50 PM

Ok i've found that. That's all done.

I guess the only two things remaining outstanding right now are the fact it doesn't initially show if you do a quick reply (you need to refresh)...

And the images folder within the admincp/images folder that come with this is completely empty.. so there is no button on the toolbar.

nix 08-29-2007 11:13 PM

Yea I just haven't added the quick reply.

Doh. Forgot about the image. You can download the other package zip. Its in there. But you don't even need the button anymore.

seanadl 08-29-2007 11:41 PM

Why don't we need the button?

nix 08-29-2007 11:45 PM

it will auto phrase the link. jut post a link and hit reply.
