I've noticed I get the IE Java Script Error when viewing it at groups.houseofcrazed.com mentioning something about Permission Denied. Though if i view it as houseofcrazed.com/groups/ that doesn't display .... Hope this makes sense *L*

Another thing too ... Since my forums are setup as it's own domain. And I also have a gallery I have to use exact links to certain things because obviously the directory changes. I've noticed that for some odd reason for the logout and contact us links in Header / Footer when viewing the groups adds a extra forum link O.o

Meh .. I'm really tired so hope any of this makes sense....

Anyways this is a absolutely beautiful and wonderful Addon for VB. You've done amazing work with it.

i have no idea, we had a few folks try and get this to work on subdomains and yours is the closest i've seen to it working to be honest.

having had a butchers at your board, your members get the same javascript error when they're logged in?

is it all of your links that are doubling up or just some, if you tell me the exact ones, i'll give you a solution.

just a url to your board/groups will be enough.

I am having the same javascript (line 862, char 2, oibject expected) problem. It shows up only in viewthread.php and ajax doesn't work here.. i.e. users are redirected to the topic once they have posted a message.

sabret00the 10-23-2006 05:33 PM

As for the ajax thing; it was NEVER listed as a feature.

javascript; can i see your boards please.

Sorry this is going to sound really ignorant and so i apologise for that. But to what are you referring to? I didn't get you? Can you provide a bigger screenshot so i can see this in context?

The link says for GRPS: Groups Commune 2.0.x (vB 3.5.x plugin) not for 2.0.1 ? Did you for get to add the new plugin for 3.5 to the other thread or just didnt change the name?

It's not open to my users quite yet but I've tried on two seperate computers. Whether it's something on both the computers or a issue of your own I'm unsure. Just thought I'd mention it.

As for the domain thing it appears to do it with Contact Us and the Log Out.

Also If you want to look at how I have it setup and working at any point for your own reference and any continuation development i'm open to that. :) (Your Choice).

But for the most part it works great seperately as the domain.

2.0.x means anything from 2.0.0 to 2.0.99, so the titles correct.

are you running in a groups in a subdomain?

Jealousy10312 10-23-2006 08:05 PM

Can you please include an easier install file.

- Where do the files go specificly? The forum folder goes in the root of your forum, or do you make a forum folder under the forum directory?
- Would you just suggest putting all of the files under a different folder such as www.mydomain.com/communitygroups ?

Thanks in advance.

Could you explain how you'd like it to be simplified exactly, what is it that you don't get?

Jealousy10312 10-23-2006 08:08 PM

Done, sorry.

Edit: So basically, the files should be uploaded like shown in the attatchment? Because, on my forum, I don't have it setup so my VBulletin software is directed to a link like www.mysite.com/forums

Instead, my site is setup so it goes to VBulletin software by a link like www.mysite.com/showthread.php

You understand?

Renada 10-23-2006 08:17 PM

Sabe,

I just want to thank you for all the help you gave me today getting this to work on my board.

Folks, he went above and beyond the call of duty here and spent many hours figuring this out, he deserves a medal.

Kind regards,
Renada

Jealousy10312 10-23-2006 08:18 PM

I agree. He already responded to my post :)

Ok, I'm installing it now. I'll let you know if it's good. Thanks

Jealousy10312 10-23-2006 08:27 PM

Ok, it works! Thank you so much. Now I just have to edit the premissions, because Im an admin and it says I dont have permission.

One more question:

You know that my forums aren't in a folder like www.mysite.com/forums, so what would I check for this option in the Admin CP? Yes or no?

Are they running at www.yoursite.com/groups, while your forums is running at www.yoursite.com/forums or otherwise?

I PM'd you that information. If there is anything else you need lemme know. Like I said this is an amazing addon so if I can help I'd love to.

I'm currently in the process of trying to get it where all the Customizations to the post bit work as I have several different things that show up. Trying to see if there is a way to maybe just show Avatar / Username vs. the entire Forum Postbit.

justim123 10-24-2006 03:46 AM

I'm running forum in / and groups in /groups directory; when i click on groups it tries to run script from / like /group.php but im in /groups/index.php. It happend after i upgrade to latest version.

Ok that fixed my header. Great!

However when I use the same method for my forums link on the nav bar, it takes you to the vba page which is my home page, not the actual forums page. I want that link to always go to forums.php

Any suggestions on that one?

Ill try the plug in method later it sounds complicated. Im not good at this editing stuff.

Melissa Miller 10-24-2006 06:07 PM

I dont want a new complete navbar, just the one link.

Can you not post images and attachements in the threads?

it's possible, but i would actually advise you to do it with conditionals directly in the postbit template as opposed to using the admincp option.

ok i see your problem, and i know what it is. it's an issue to do with it (your advert) trying to close a container that was never opened. i'll look into it on my test board, i will get back to you about this one, this evening.
