I am using vb 3.0.1. Is this compatible, i have seen some say yes, and some sya no.
Also, I was trying to install, but in step 3 it says
"3. Look for the "Simple Quoting" section and click Edit "

I son;t have a simple quoting section. It's all blank.. just a button to add new BBcodes.

Should I be adding this as a new BBCode?

Any help is greatly appreciated..

Thanks
Dave

Hi. I am using it on my test site and it is compatible. It's actually very simple to use. Here's the shortened version on step by step instructions:

Admin Control Panel > Styles & Templates > Style Manager > BBCode Layout templates > bbcode_quote > click the 'Edit' button to modify the template an replace the content with the following code:

I don't have any of this...^^^^

OK i finally figured out how to get to the code.. but I ma still lost.
This is what I have in my section..

Code:

<div style="margin:20px; margin-top:5px; <if condition="$show['iewidthfix']">width: 100%;</if>">
        <div class="smallfont" style="margin-bottom:2px">$vbphrase[quote]:</div>
        <table cellpadding="$stylevar[cellpadding]" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="100%">
        <tr>
                <td class="alt2" style="border:1px inset">
                        <if condition="$show['username']">
                                <div><phrase 1="$username">$vbphrase[originally_posted_by_x]</phrase></div>
                                <div style="font-style:italic">$message</div>
                        <else />
                                $message
                        </if>
                </td>
        </tr>
        </table>
</div>

What should I do with this? I am using VB 3.0.1 I had put in the code in the text file.. but it didn;t work. I then looked and saw to seperate entries.. So now I am lost in step 5 & 6..

Thanks
Dave

actually the quoted massage it's in there, the thing is that you use white for you font in your forums since you are using a dark style...

Let me find the psd and I will make a dark version to fit dark styles ;)

1. Login to your Admin Control Panel
2. look for "Custom BB Codes" on the side menu (go all the way down)
3. Click on the "BB Code Manager" link
4. Look for the "Simple Quoting" section and click Edit

No such monster in my vb3.01 or am I blind
