i already uninstalled and did a fresh install always with the same error so i still need help on the last error.

Cant help you much there im afraid , sorry buddy

Im wondering , is it hard to change the catagories in this ? Do i have to go into the SQL and do it that way ? or is there a simpler way ?

I went into my sql the first time, but for testing I edited the installation script to reflect what I use.

sketch - that worked straight away for me , but i only have the default template

Id also like to say that everything seems to work well , but you defo need to be able to use all trackers and not limit it to just the one tracker.

And i havent played about with it enuf yet , but im wondering if the forum is made to be closed so it cant be seen on the actual forum , can the posts be seen in the tracker ? I want to make it look like the tracker is a whole seperate section of my site apart from the forums , but i dont think i can do that if the tracker is seen on both the forums and the main tracker section ?
Might be an option in the next version.

like i said im working on a plain board, no hacks no mods no templates nothing a clean install of vb which is why this so much more perplexing... and i cant understand why noone has answered, aside from you of course, with any suggestions.

i would think ... double check all the instructions once more - write them down as u do them and tick them as u check them ... and make sure its all working ok - is it a windows or linux server , what version of PHP u using ? and have u got all of the settings correct and everything uploaded ?

I just found a small bug in the scripting .. where it says rows on the index page ... for the torrent types ... if you type in 3 , after the first 3 it drops to the next row , but after that it keeps going on the same row... just another tiny edit for the next version.

thats the thing i checked double checked.. heck i even wiped out my board and datbase and re-edited all my files and followed everything to the letter thats why im at a loss.. i keep getting the original error i posted now..

i eel like demolishing this computer , all i want to know is where the error is comming from.. i even called my host and they say they cant find any errors in what i did, but that they dont see any files that are trying to connect to the database.
im about to give up.

Sketch - if its a brand new forum , do u want me to take a look at it ? I may not be able to fix everything , but a fresh pair of eyes can help sometimes.
