Great hack and easy install!

Ok I installed the hack on vb version 2.2.3, everything went fine and worked great and I really like this hack.

However I have a problem and am unsure if the upgrade to this hack did it or the upgrade to 2.2.3 did it, but somehow my "today's Birthdays" has vanished from the page.

I did both the hack and the upgrade within a couple of hours and didn't notice it before.

Has anyone else installed the Welcome Panel and had their birthdays vanish?

I had installed the today/yesterday timestamp hack, and the date where it says "you last visited" still shows the date instead of "today" or "yesterday".

I think I need to hack the index.php file. Has anyone able to fix it? If so how?

Sue, it looks like you've done the template edits properly, but you have missed out part of the hack to the index.php file. Read over the instructions again, comparing it to your hacked file and pay particular attention to that part of the hack which details the new posts.

Todays birthdays is not part of this hack. $birthdaybits is part of the forumhome_loggedinusers template, not the forumhome template and is called by $loggedinusers. It isn't changed or affected by this hack, so it stays in the default place (at least the default place for vB2.2).

Check to see if you have $loggedinusers in your forumhome template and $birthdaybits in your forumhome_loggedinusers template. This should still be intact as it isn't touched by this hack at all.
