Thanks for the update Chris. As long as you're confident this will be possible in a future version, I can switch over to this software and won't bug you about this. You're doing an awesome job with answering questions and supporting this mod.

Sure it will be. The funny is that it will be in the Free version and not in the PRO as I've changed many things there. Promise that you'll have it next week.

Removal from premium classifieds is done with the cronjob. In general you can't unmark an Ad from Premium list as long as the user still belongs to a usergroup with priority 1.

Chris

First, I want to add my thanks to you for attempting to make this a viable product. And I realize how much effort it is taking you. So thanks a lot.

But I still do not understand the premium ads. What is the purpose of the check box at the bottom of the ad to make it a premium ad if it is only automatic?

But, in addition, I have made the person that posted the ads I wish to make premioum a certified member, and I made sure their usergroup is set at "1," but the ads will still not appear in the premium section.

So it appears that once an ad is posted, the premium status (or lack thereof) can not be changed by editing the ad, or by adding the creator to the certified list, or by changing the usergroup settings - is this correct? In other words, if a person forgets to check the box when creating the ad, there is nothing that can be done to make it a premium. Do I understand this correctly?

Will this work on older versions of VB? Like 4.1.3, 4.1.2?

Hi,
Today I installed product and I got an error:

Database error in vBulletin 4.1.5:

Invalid SQL:

ON microclassifieds_profiles.userid=microclassifieds_ orders.sellerid
WHERE microclassifieds_orders.sreviewrating>0
GROUP BY microclassifieds_orders.sellerid
ORDER BY microclassifieds_orders.sreviewrating DESC
LIMIT 5;

MySQL Error : You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AS thisprofile
FROM microclassifieds_orders

vb 4.1.5

Could you tell me how to fix it?

i discovered a bug with the premium profiles at the bottom of the page. when clicking on a profile you get an invalid data error. looking at the link it appears that it using the wrong id in the link like its using ID instead of USERID in the microclassifieds_profiles table

i had to use phpmyadmin to change the premium settings for the profiles and items after they were posted.

Ah, good to know. I hope I am smart enough to figure out how you did that. I'm assuming you edited some DB tables???

I'm sure Chris will get a fix going for that in his spare time. :) Just kidding Chris. You are doing a fantastic job. I am making, and will be sending you a list of some English phrases, etc. that could be changed to make things more "polished," in appreciation and as a little help for your project.

Chris,

I understand you are not looking to add new features at this time, but allowing "free" classifieds should be a easy mod to make for the product. that would be amazingly helpful to many members, incl me. Thanks!

Hello, I discovered that classifieds are unfortunately not suitable for my forum. I went to uninstall the mod, and now, I'm getting fairly consistent emailed vBulletin errors.

Any ideas on how to fix it?
