Thanks mate

I installed it and made the proper settings in ACP of vb3.8. This works fine with a few exceptions,

There are 5 questions which have not been answered over the last 11 pages yet:

1. Donation bar shows up, but does not update automatically. Is this the default behaviour? How can I make this automatically without manually appoving it?

2. Donator is not moved to default VIP group, although I made both settings in the ACP: How can I fix this?

3. How can I change the donation system, so that it is not a one-time donation but uses the recurring subscription possibility I have also available with the standard vb paypal feature? (but donation bar shall reflect these amounts too)

4. How do I take out the option to collapse/hide the donbar?

5. As soon as unregistered usergroup ID is blocked via the appropriate field in your Mod, the donate link directs to smilies page

More question/ wishes in addition to those 5:

6. If I allow unregsitered people to donate, only the IP is tracked (obviously). It would be great to have instead an alert, that the need first to login befere donating because otherwise we can not give them privileges (i.e. different usergroup).

7. It would be great to be able to place optionally the donate alert/bar inbetween postings.

Thanks in advance

Is it at all possible to have it auto-confirm, such as the subscription system does not need you to go through and do it manually?

But i'm a owner of my website and i have a other usergroup id.
And with my account i can not see this option in this PayPall Hack.
How can i shut down this for a administrator and activate it for my usergroup id ?

You need to look and read very carefully the options for this plugin. It has the ability to set what Usergroups can use the donate plugin, as well as for Admins or others, what access to it.

I have asked this a couple times.

What happens after the subscription expires?
Do members automatically get charged again?

Do I need to approve them again?

If they cancel their subscription, does the usergroup change?

For subscriptions, they only work if the user has a premiere or Business level paypal account. That is stated by CYB.

If a subscription expires, assuming all other prerequisites, then yeah...no more charging... It's not the plugin that would do it afaik, it's what already got setup in the user's paypal account.

Thanks.
So once they are confirmed and moved to their usergroup, they are there forever regardless of the terms?

I'll have to manually change their usergroup?

The donation bar is very useful.
Since I am manually confirming payment, maybe I should just use the subscription function at the same time?

This plugin is a great tool. It was meant, imo, to be somewhat manual on purpose. This is because dealing w/ money can be quite sensitive.

Having to manually APPROVE a donation is the best way to go. Why, b/c anytime someone actually picks an amount and goes to be prompted for logging into Paypal, DOES NOT MEAN a payment was finalized.

A user can just close everything down for any reason. CYB's plugin activates no matter what after this step. It logs the donation, but is UNCONFIRMED. An admin should never Confirm a payment that they have not received, right? So in my mind, this is a good control of what is going on.

As for swapping automatically to a usergroup....I'm sure it works fine initially. But the case of remove/readd requires then a feature of setting some DURATION b/t donations. Kinda weak if you really want that imo, but i'm not one to know exactly what your people's needs are there. Just pointing out that some automation is not really the best in everything.

I'm not the coder, but I'm a fan of his and thought I'd chime in w/ my experience to try and help.

Now to CYB for a Feature Request ---

Would it be feasible or possible to implement a method of manually adding a donator and their amount?

My example reason: Had a donator send me funds directly, they did not use our site. We really need to track all amounts so that the meter is not "misleading", by accident in this case of course. Also, to properly show whom was the contributor.

I had to request the person to trick the PayPal system as I described above. He logged in, picked an amount, and then stopped. This got his name properly in the list w/ his amount.

Thanks!!

Option to add donations manually is available from the beginning:

Is there any Module which I can use on vBCMS (not vBadvanced!) ?

Also, where can I change the background color of the Users that have donated in the Doner List ? Because i use a dark theme and the background of Users that donated in the Donerlist is kinda whitish. Would need to change that.
Thank you.

Wolfseye

Main forum colors are used for confirmed donations, so if usernames appears fine in posts there should be fine here too. For unconfirmed donations there is an option in product settings to change the background color.

Thanks. ;) Anything on a Module for vBCMS maybe ?

Hi Thank you for the mod, it's very light and great.

Is this possible? I want the mod to add extra usergroup tag/id only to the staff except Members usergroup.

Let's say some of my Moderator donated and they got moved to Donor making them unable to manage the forums. So I want them to just get extra usergroup tag under their MODERATOR tag like this, so they have two tags:

[MODERATOR]
[DONOR]

but I want to disable this for Members, I want them to become Donor if they donate, so they only have 1 tag, [DONOR] instead of:

[MEMBER]
[DONOR]
