Good question ... Id like to hear the answer to that one too...

ptwiggens version was removed from vBulletin.org because it blatantly plagiarized my modification. He didn't write a new RSVP mod, he simply used my code without permission. I'm surprised that some sort of notification wasn't sent to the people that downloaded it while it was briefly available, however.

Ok that answers that question ... the next being is there some way to get both your mod and the vB Event Forums working on 3.8 ?

The problem is that the Event Forums haven't been updated. If they had, I could incorporate the changes. My understanding though is that the Event Forums by itself isn't working on 3.8.x (or even 3.7.x right?)

Event forums seems to be working fine for me on 3.8.

So, Ummm.. Are you going to update your mod or are we stuck just because he didn't ask permission?

If he DOES/DID ask for permission, are/were you going to give it?

Or are we just left out because of a battle of egos?

Don't get me wrong, I don't know you, or him. But because of that, I have these questions. Seems pointless not to let someone continue your work (although I would think he should give credit where it's due), just because.

I've just tried Event Forums in 3.8 on its own and it works fine, not tried it yet with event attendance though.
