The 'Last Post' column can be smaller than normal if the thread titles of the category forums are all small (you can only fix this with a template edit). Have a look at the attached screenshot to see this limitation.
I have this problem, how can I fix this?

After installing this mod and editing the templates I still have this problem. It's a standard style.

Solved. I deleted my Thread Prefixes for that subforum, now the columns are all the same.

You sure you adjusted everything correctly?

Try this... after copying the section we're talking about in your FORUMHOME, FORUMDISPLAY, and forumhome_seperate_forumcats templates and saving them somewhere else just to be safe, replace them with this...

Quote:

<thead>
<tr align="center">
<td class="thead" width="7%">&nbsp;</td>
<td class="thead" width="45%" align="$stylevar[left]">$vbphrase[forum]</td>
<td class="thead" width="32%">$vbphrase[last_post]</td>
<td class="thead" width="7%">$vbphrase[threads]</td>
<td class="thead" width="9%">$vbphrase[posts]</td>
<if condition="$vboptions['showmoderatorcolumn']">
<td class="thead">$vbphrase[moderator]</td>
</if>
</tr>
</thead>
If you see absolutely no change, something is wrong.

Thanks man, i ended up doing it myself though. :)

We are running 3.7 anyhow, but a lot of 3.6 mods work on it, just this one didn't happen to.

So does this work with the latest version of vbulletin 3.7.4?

UKBusinessLive 01-02-2009 01:25 AM

Works fine with latest version, I'm using 3.7.4. had problems with wonky forums and nothing lining up, Played around with all these template edits, got no where, The answer was staring me right in the face

Goto> vbulletin options> Forum Listings Display Options> scroll down> find> Last Thread Title Maximum Displayed Characters > set to 20 and save...

Now works a treat, thought i'd share it here

take care

:D

Chrakker 01-06-2009 02:56 PM

Works for 3.7.5 from Scratch with this fix :)

Nice work :)

That's also a limitation, then you have to do a template edit:
  1. First install the product
  2. Open forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost and remove the following code:
    HTML Code:

    <tbody>
            <tr>
                    <td class="tcat" colspan="<if condition="$vboptions[showmoderatorcolumn]">6<else />5</if>">
                            <a style="float:$stylevar[right]" href="#top" onclick="return toggle_collapse('forumbit_$forumid')"><img id="collapseimg_forumbit_$forumid" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/collapse_tcat{$collapseimg_forumid}.gif" alt="" border="0" /></a>
                            <a href="forumdisplay.php?$session[sessionurl]f=$forum[forumid]">$forum[title]</a>
                            <if condition="$show['forumdescription']"><div class="smallfont">$forum[description]</div></if>
                            <if condition="$show['subforums']"><div class="smallfont"><strong>$vbphrase[subforums]</strong>: $forum[subforums]</div></if>
                    </td>
            </tr>
    </tbody>

  3. Open forumhome_seperate_forumcats and add the following code at the end of the template:
    HTML Code:

    <tbody>
            <tr>
                    <td class="tcat" colspan="<if condition="$vboptions[showmoderatorcolumn]">6<else />5</if>">
                            <a style="float:$stylevar[right]" href="#top" onclick="return toggle_collapse('forumbit_$forumid')"><img id="collapseimg_forumbit_$forumid" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/collapse_tcat{$collapseimg_forumid}.gif" alt="" border="0" /></a>
                            <a href="forumdisplay.php?$session[sessionurl]f=$forum[forumid]">$forum[title]</a>
                            <if condition="$show['forumdescription']"><div class="smallfont">$forum[description]</div></if>
                            <if condition="$show['subforums']"><div class="smallfont"><strong>$vbphrase[subforums]</strong>: $forum[subforums]</div></if>
                    </td>
            </tr>
    </tbody>

I have tried this, but they are still all squashed to the right. The only one that I couldn't do is: forumhome_seperate_forumcats I don't have one of those unser my FORUMHOME or anywhere else that I can see.

Can you help me on this please?

Would you or some else be kind enough as to explain what you mean / have done in Layman's terms please? I am new to this. :)

Many Thanks.
