for some reason I cant get the permissions right for the data folder and have thus not been able to upload the .htaccess and index.php in there. I am upgrading from version 1.6.1
Can I do this without changing these files? If not do you have any clue what the problem may be? I've been trying all night, but cant get it to work. Once I change the settings, they are then back again as they where. :(

I installed this and all is well.. but a few hours later and my inbox is being flooded with the "The vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap has been successfully generated for your vBulletin forums at:" emails...

Had about 50 in the last few minutes...

Whats going on??? AhhhH!

I'd suspect your scheduled task is wrong and will execute it every minute if possible. Make sure the minute option is 0 and not *.

Is it correct that the sitemap will be saved to /forum/vbseo_sitemap/data/sitemap_index.xml.gz?

How do I configure it to save the sitemap files to the root? Or do I need to add the above location to the google sitemap system?
