This is not a fix but a work around. I had this problem too ages ago i have not tested to see if it still persists but i put a notice up in arcade to tell members to check the remember me tab when they sign in this way they will not get signed out!

I know this get's mentioned, overlooked and seldom enforced, but it would be appreciated if you guys would start directing your support questions (and answers) to the ibProArcade Support Forum. That's an entire section of vBulletin.org devoted to support of this modification. Mainly, because it's the most popular modification here. It requires something better than a single thread.

The reason the same questions are getting asked over and over again is because it's virtually impossible to find what you need in a 409 page thread. But a support forum can be searched more readily. Problem is, few of you are using it, or trying to get faster support here. Also, some of you, while certainly having your hearts in the right place, are not helping matters by helping people within this thread. Please direct them to the support forums and help them there. That way we can start building the threads we need with the most common answers to the most common questions. It will make this thread and that forum so much more organised and functional in the long run.

Hello Digital Jedi -

I asked this question a month and a half ago in the support forum, and the only reply I got was from another user that had the same problem.

I'm just looking for an answer from a script which the last post in the support forum from its developer was May 16th of this year.

I am appreciative of the archival value of thread-based support, which is why I have a forum in the first place. But after a month and a half of no reply, I'm expanding my search for support wherever I can find it.

Hope you can understand why after a month and a half of no answers in the appropriate area, why I am trying other sources.

If you'd like to take a crack at my original question, it is located here:

I understand that. Also understand that MrZeroPage left explicit instructions not to use this thread for support or game requests.

If after a couple of days you don't get a reply, check to make sure the question hasn't already been answered many times before. If not, a couple of days is safe to nicely bump your thread again. Remember that this section isn't any different than the rest of the forums, and sometimes threads there get missed to. We all do our best. (Remember, too, that if people don't know the answer, it's tough to offer any suggestions.)

Let's try and get this thing organized so that not so many people are left hanging. The reason that forum has been overlooked in the past is because many of our users here aren't bothering to go there. We're not using this setup to its full potential. Let's also not use this thread as a way to to call attention to our support threads. If we get this going correctly, it will be of benefit to all of us.

Wondering how I can change the background color of the arcade. Right now it's a very light-blue, and contrasts with the white text in a very unflattering way. Any ideas?

When I finished playing any of the games, it takes me to the following url to submit the score:
/index.php?act=Arcade&do=newscore
Of course, this gave me an error because it needs to go to this url:
/arcade.php?act=Arcade&do=newscore

How do I fix it?

Great mod btw :)

No developer support, no updated version is an abandoned mod. And an abandoned mod deserves an UNINSTALL!

switching to v3 arcade

It doesn't look like you ever asked for support in any of the places you could have received support, so I don't know how you can brand anything unsupported. You have no support questions in the ibProArcade Support Forum. We would have been happy to help you.

This mod is not abandoned. Not every modification requires an update every six weeks to be current. And as I explained in the other thread, not all the "fixes" you want added were actually fixes at all. The were back end adjustments that only the administrators of each board can make to their own board.

No, it's been handed over to the team behind vBadvanced, so you will find there is support there. www.v3arcade.com

If you are using vbAdvanced Portal and your /index.php is not the original one from vBulletin,
you have to edit your alternate index.php:

open index.php

At the very beginning of the File, right after:

you have to insert:

        switch($_POST['func'])

                $scores = $game[score];

                if($scores != false)
                {
                        //Return true
                        print "&opSuccess=true&gameScores=$scores&endvar=1"; //send endvar to keep opSuccess separate from all other output from PostNuke

                        print "&opSuccess=false&error=Error&endvar=1";

Otherwise your scores won't be recorded :)

THANK YOU!!

I'm sad to say I've finally given up on this arcade. I'd been running it successfully on my forums since 2006, but since upgrading to vB4 it just hasn't worked well and I've never been able to get the hiscores to save since vB4, regardless of what I've tried.

It was becoming a bit of a joke that a supposedly supported product hasn't been updated since Dec 2009!

I've therefore switched over to v3 Arcade, and all I can say is its a real eye opener and I wish I had switched a long time ago. Upload a few files (and I mean a few, not like the bloated load you get with this one), and import the product. No manual template edits, no editing to fix errors or issues. It just works out of the box and very well.

I highly recommend everyone considers switching to v3 Arcade because it really shows what a well supported product should be like. This ibProArcade has obviously not been developed or properly supported for over 2 years now, and only a half hearted effort to update it for vB4.
