Ah, that's great news about the upgrade to vB4.0 - This is one of my best mods and was worried it wasn't going to be supported.

i just came to ask this, lol. am glad there will be a vB experience for 4.0!!!

please tell vB to give u the beta asap as you are an important part of the vB community. lol, they should actually just invite you to the vB team so you can integrate your mod standard. :)

Hi everyone!

Wonder if someone could help me! I've gone through the stages I'm supposed to do to install vBexperience Shop however I'm stuck! Here are the instructions:

"How to implement Shop Items that can be downloaded after purchased.

1. Install vBExperience, enable shop.
2. Install LDM Links And Download Manager or DownloadsII
3. Install either ZIP\extras\Addons\download_files_shop_ldm.xml or ZIP\extras\Addons\download_files_shop_downloadsII. xml. Depends of which downloadsystem you have installed.
4. Upload the download content. Memorize the LinkID!
5. AdminCP, Experience, Manage Shop, Add Category/Edit items
6. Depending of the downloadsystem you have to enter the numerical LinkID into the correct field."

...basically I just don't understand stage no.4 ... I mean I really don't get it! It's quite embarassing as I just don't understand the instruction! Please help! :o

I don't know the process for LDM, but for DownloadsII you go to the downloads page, click the add button from the downloads page menu, select the file from your hard drive and upload the file. When the upload is completed the page will refresh, don't go anywhere just yet, look at the address bar for your browser, at the end of the address you will see a number, for the first file you upload the number will be 1, for the thousand and second upload the number will be 1002, that number is the file Link ID.

Ok I understand what you mean! Thank you very much! I have DownloadsII as well so that's perfect.

My other problem is that I don't understand what it means when it says upload the "download content" as in what is the "download content"?

Sorry for being your typical newbie! :o

Oh dear... at the risk of sounding even more stupid (not that I'm sure that's actually possible) what file am I supposed to upload? I can't see anymore files other than the ones in the upload_via_ftp folder which I've uploaded already. What's this file (or download content) called? :o
