No, I didn't. I'm also confused about this part:

For each command you which to install :
1/ If the command's folder contains a "Files" directory, upload its content to your forum root.
2/ If the command's folder contains an "Images" directory, upload its content in each of your forum's styles directory.
3/ Import the command located in the "xml" directory through the command management system.

Do I upload the whole folder or put these in the xml and clientscript folders? And then do I download each xml file in each of these folders? That's not very clear.

Hey, is there any way I can set up normal users to moderate the chat box (banning, removing messages) but they don't have any access on the forums itself? I am trying to do this, but no luck so far.

This is what I get now. It always just says loading (but you can only see it if you highlight it) and if I type anything into it it goes to the archive page. And how do I change the colors?

These have to be the worst instructions for installing such a labor intensive hack I've ever seen. No offense, but this really needs better documentation.

Im all new to this ive installed theproduct, think i got something wrong somewhere.

It says copy images to each style folder, i just have default style, seems all the icons and buttons are awol, can anyone point me in right direction, looks like i put images in wrong place but dont have a clue.

see picture.

SloppyGoat 06-01-2008 09:02 PM

Yeah, I found out that's not where the images go. Right click one of the missing ones and look at properties and it will tell you where the misc folder is really supposed to go. Looks like you've gotten farther than I have. I'm getting pissed off, since this requires so many manual steps and who knows what the hell is wrong with it now?

Thanks for that, now im more baffled as its not pointing to the server its installed on.

have to check now how its looking in wrong place.

This is a clusterf*ck to install. It needs more clear and precise instructions. Uninstalling....which is even more of a b*tch!!!

Will someone please write up some intelligible directions that are accurate and easy to follow. This is crap.

Yeah, and I'm no newbie. I've been running a vB forum and installing hacks for over 6 years. I usually have no trouble at all, even when the instructions are rather lacking. I'd really like to get this installed and working, if anyone cares to help and write up a better install process.

How could I add a simple command for a link to be displayed for my online radio ?

like /radio

posts "click here for the radio"

Why don't you use the announcement feature of the chatbox ?

No you just have to upload the contents of the files directory as it's written.

For the xml, you have to use the chatbox command management system.

Install instructions are kept clear and simple, I don't see how I could enhance that, any clue on what you would be excepting ?

Which vBulletin version are you using ?

For the colors, either set a default color for your usergroup or select one for your default color in your profile options, or select one at each chat in the bbcode line :)
