Tigga,
Will you help me out? I just got the database error: Too many connections in /home/site/public_html/forums/admin/db_mysql.php on line 40 I can't access my admin...or database at the moment. Can I change something in the db_mysql and upload to temporarily get to the database again and fix this do you think? I'm still waiting to see if its a server thing, but thought to ask you too. |
looks like you have nix load on or sumthing like that, try loggint into the admin panel and change Simultaneous sessions limit to 0 to disable it, can you access your database via phpmyadmin?
|
Hi thanks for replying. It started working again and the server just said it needed restarted. I'm not sure what happened...it was weird. I checked the admin setting you were talking about and it is at 0. :) thanks again :bunny:

your server program might have goen down |
Okie, one more question.
I've got this up and running beautifully at www.rs25.com and have one little request: Links are created and open with the target="_blank" attribute within the "news" text. I don't want it to do that; I want it to open all links in the same page. Is there any way to do that easily? |
it might be how it interprets the vbcode, but im not sure, intresting collection of buttons :\
|
I'll do the buttons later, this is a recovered web site from a crash a few weeks ago and they are kinda last on my list.
So, anyone have an idea how to get rid of the target="_blank" attribute in hyperlinks in the forum text? |
We can we see this hack for Vb3? What would be really cool is to have it for VB3 Beta.. so I dont have to wait 10yrs before they finally go gold..

RS25com - The links are controlled by vBcode, so if you removed the target="_blank" from the coding it would have any links posted on your forum open in the same window. Your best bet would probably be to create a new vB code to use for links on your homepage. Or, if you don't mind the links opening in the same window, you should be able to open your admin/functions.php file and look for:
PHP Code:
dreamer - Well you can see somewhat of a vB3 version of the hack running on my site (just upgraded a couple of days ago :D). There is a LOT that is customized for my site at the moment and I still have some options (like the polls) that need to be added back. I've been extremely busy lately and haven't had much time to work on hacks, or a lot of other things I would like to do. I'm sure I'll have a version ready to release by the time vB3 RC is released though. :) |
so, i was right ? cool :D and nice job on your site brian
