There are no more games to import.

Is this script ignorant? Apparently it is either that, or blind. Either way, it doesn't see the games I just uploaded.

Does anyone have a FIX for this problem that doesn't seem to ever get fixed? This is my 5th time trying to install this so-called hack, and the 5th time it doesn't work with importing games.

Waste of time IMHO, and until someone can address this issue, I recommend to everyone to just do without until something WORKING comes along.

Works great for me, I've got a bunch installed, and my users love it.

If Namco doesn't give a rats behind that people use Pacman on Arcades, what makes you think some garage-based newbie flash game creator cares? I hardly think that v3Arcade is "half-baked" -- I'd like to see you attempt and fail to create anything that comes even remotely close to it.

I suggest you and your "very successful internet enterprise" steer clear of ANY modification to vBulletin.

First of all, I don't need to create an arcade script - GameSiteScript is just about as good as it gets. And I'm working on a vbulletin integration.

Secondly, I will do as I please with my vBulletin board - as long as it doesn't infringe upon anybody's copyright.

Thirdly, ask miniclip.com if they think it's ok to modify other people's games. If you do a bit of research and visit the v3arcade forums, you will notice that John actually stopped development of the v3arcade script for a while. This was because of the threat of illegal games. And one of that site's moderators, oblivion Knight, also states that ALL games not released with the v3arcade script should be considered illegal and a violation of copyright.

Serial Killer 04-11-2006 09:05 PM

On www.v3arcade.com, Snowy, a Super Moderator on that site, states the following:

Legal Games

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please consider ALL games to be illegal unless they are posted on this site. Game authors are being contacted and being asked for permission to convert games to be used for the v3Arcade. The only legal games as of this post are the ones that will come as part of the v3Arcade release.

Please keep checking back on the forums for updates and game releases.

And at the moment, only 5 GAMES are released with the v3arcade script.

Nuff said.

So, let's say that I have written 250 custom games for v3Arcade, how do I import them all without having the script choke, ignore, or delete them?

Serial Killer 04-11-2006 09:43 PM

The script is very buggy mate. Some games install fine, some don't.

The integration is nice (better than ibproarcade), but the code is all over the place.

ThePimp 04-11-2006 09:51 PM

This doesn't uninstall now? WTF?!?!?

Database error in vBulletin 3.5.4:

Invalid SQL:
ALTER TABLE usergroup DROP arcadepermissions;

MySQL Error : Can't DROP 'arcadepermissions'; check that column/key exists
Error Number : 1091

Referrer : http://www.site.com/admincp/plugin.p...id=v3arcade&s=

What is the list of database alterations this POS adds, does anyone have this, so I can manually kill this garbage from my site?

IMHO:

This award should be removed from this hack. I have no clue how this is possible wish such a buggy script.

Kirk Y 04-12-2006 09:13 PM

Just because you're unable to get it working doesn't mean that it's a fantastic hack, worthy of the prestiged HOTM Award.

I've had no problems, whatsoever, importing games that SerialKiller refers to as "illegal" -- which by the way were specifically designed for v3Arcade. The 5 Games provided with the installation work fine as well as all the Yeti Games, if you search through the thread, there's a link to a RAR file that contains 300+ games that work fine with the arcade.

If you've followed the directions properly and don't have any other hacks installed that conflict with it, the arcade should work just fine. I suggest asking for help by means of a Support Ticket, not this thread. You're much more likely to get a quicker and more helpful response.
