I will have a look at it and see. Thanks, might make it a bit easier, better than the time it's taken to write enough words to describe the cat...
Another thing to play with when I make more icons for the new listings. ;)

It does work, but...

I guess a picture is worth a thousand words. I haven't removed the individual codes for the cats, but on listings where the folder is used to list the sub categories...
Would work fine as long as there are no child categories

I think maybe a seperate image type thing may be better down the road, as it is, bbcode works fine with just a simple addition in admincp.

Thanks though, the ability to change that little folder image is very useful though in other ways. :D

OK, noted

Have another idea...

I have a lot of childs in each of my parent categories. How about the ability to clone a category, with all of its settings intact to use as a template. So we can have our descriptions/extended descriptions, use policy and the settings carry over, as well as display settings and permissions, and then it's a simple to edit any changes you want.

Thinking about it, all you would need is to tell it the cat id you wish to use for the template settings, and a new name to call that created cat.

Not sure how much that would take though, might be simplier than the use policy idea, but just a idea for a good option down the road. Mind you, with all the other ideas from everyone else, that might be version 7.0 :)

Thanks for all your help.

wow. been a bit since I've been able to visit this thread/hack for updates...
and DAAAAAAAAAAAAANNGGGGGG andrew....still pluggin away and TONS of updates!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again... this hack is amazing and the support and consist development you provide is unprecendented and a true mark of why this is such a popular hack. I continue to be incredibly impressed with your efforts. GREAT JOB and keep it up!!!!

that said, and I tried looking for the answer but didn't come up with it...
its been a while so I hope this wasn't coverd....

1. any updates on having a reply automatically post into a forum of choice? (like with the drupal hack or events forums hack or the like).

I know I've asked you about this several times before so I'm really sorry for buggin you...
but I really believe this would be a HUGE boon to the already great system as it would really give direct exposure for uploads and encourage much much more contributions, etc.

2. Is there a bulk upload feature working in this version?

once again.. Keep up the great work. :)

Mike, I need a bit more information to help you - can you give me some examples of problem files, etc - perhaps PM me and include an admin username/pwd for your board?

Slave 03-25-2006 06:13 AM

Could that be related to the same problem I was having Andrew?

I will provide a plug in with the final version of 2.1.5 to auto create a thread in the forum that have associated with a new link. This plugin will be called when you create a new link, not when you edit it. I am not going to write code to delete threads, edit threads, etc.
