because the Version now is not compatible with VB4, I want ask if it's planned to make a Version what can be used with VB4?

Nothing is stated yet, so I'm *guessing* atm.... I'd say expect it after Feb/March. There's 3 plugins that are all being worked on at the same time by the same guy.

I have installed the Chatbox on my Forum. After the newest Firefox Update (Firefox 3.6) the users cant see the posts in the chatbox. Has anyone else problems or a idea what happens?

Are you sure it's Firefox and not mod_security? ;)

not sure why you uninstalled - just disable them and add the line in config.php due the upgrade remove the line in config.php and just leave them disabled in products ..

You need to download it again and look at the file tree and make sure you removed all the files

There is NO need to edit the config file AT ALL for this. In fact Vbulletin clearly states this.

Just checked and the Donation system and subscription system is almost converted to 4.0. So I'd start getting giddy...He's not said anything else on the chat yet but I'm thinking it might be a couple weeks off.

Has anyone noticed the lag occasionally?

The auto refresh hangs. So u have to hit F5 yourself and can miss maybe 7 chats.

That's generally either lag with the Yahoo yui, or the server itself. I have about 6,000+ lines go through a day on a SLOW day and I have yet to hear anyone complain.

Those devices need to handle ajax and java. If they do, then they should be able to no problem. But we all know HTC phones can do this. ;) Iphones suck.

Gmerin, once the 4.0 version is released and if you still have issues viewing from a phone, post that in the new thread we create and we can see about troubleshooting it.

There is no further development of this product in the 3.x category.

there is a difference between handing something, and doing it well. i can read the chatbox on iphones now; i'm just not satisfied with the quality of the user interaction when I compare it with the user experience offered by mods like Tapatalk which is why i would like to see a native client offered, or an exposed api and I'll publish my own native application.

The only key point is the market because that's where the money is: if you don't want to support the largest target market because of a pseudo ideological bias (claiming machines that run unix, - apples including iPhones, run unix, are not computers), someone else will. im not quite sure of how do we use the separate channels and what does the channel images mean......... I activated it but it doesnt show.

btw, is there anyway we can add in more than 1 chatbox? I would want 1 below the forums..

Yeah, I can't wait. We are expecting the Donation system hack to be released to testers in the next 2 weeks. Once that's out, the chat should follow shortly after. I'll keep you all posted to it's release.

Im still trying to figure out why I can't save the chats.

Also, do you happen to know if its possible to make a cronjob for this?
Saving the chats automatically after (for example) a day?

You can set it to not purge. I'm not sure why you would want to save the chats as that would make an extremely large and *risk corrupting data* when it becomes excessively large. You can export them by clicking the export link. You could just do an iMACROS function from Firefox that would do it.

In the chatbox, the chats will only be kept for 1 day no matter how many chats there are.
I'll export the chats that are older than 24 hours.

Als the chats i exported will only be kept for a week or 2. But this i'll manage myself on my own harddrive (local pc).

Btw, i didn't find the 'usergroup permissions' in the options of MGC settings.

Hi,

1. How can I disable (The default chatbox channel) or (Main channel), or put permissions on viewing it ?
why it's not a normal channel like other channels I create, I cannot edit it's settings and permissions ?

2. Chatters may chat on other channels without me notified neither with a sound when I am (IN) no with changing it's icon when I come back on a later time !
although sound notification is working fine with me on the same channel,
and (Warn user upon new message in the channel) is set to (Yes) !
is there any other option that I am missing ?
