I finally got this mod to pass the XHTML Validator. A couple of tricks, but it passed.....

All the javascript in the sidebarext_temp needs the cdata tag to hide it from the validator. This is a band-aid.

And the embedded css was moved out of the sidebarext_temp to the additional.css file.

edit: correction - 3rd party blocks that have their templates in block_* work. Ones that don't, don't.

can anyone else confirm this to be the case?

Yeah I think that is correct. I have 2 mods that put their own block in the sidebar but they don't show up.

I installed in 4.1.11 with
product-everywhere_sidebar_1.5.zip & cssrollup_everywhere_sidebar.xml

i installed with default skin and without any mods on forum

Followed all these steps but couldnt see on home page

Hi
I am still waiting to hear how I can get the updated Gold version as I can't remember my login details to your web-site.

Everywhere Sidebar Gold V2.0.5 stops the 4.1.11 Mobile style from working!!!

I would like to get this updated as soon as possible as I now want to use the mobile style in 4.1.11

Please advise.

The mobile style is active at the moment here www.television-magazine-forum.co.uk if you want to see what is going on.
Please let me know when you have viewed the site as I need to turn the style off until this is resolved.
