I have given up trying to make my .htaccess work. But maybe somebody could help we to create a batch job that copies the sitemap files form the data folder to the root directly ?

Hello,

Im Newbie so be gentle with me :)

I have a VB site located under my html site (linked via a menu)
Example
http://www.mysite.com
http://www.mysite.com/forum

Im using GSiteCrawler to generate a sitemap for my html and this excellent mod for my VB site

I have a couple of questions that you may be able to help me with.
The VBSEO SiteMap is in effect located here http://www.mysite.com/forum
The other sitemap is here http://www.mysite.com

For better SE results am I best combining the two of them?

I ask as I can only submit one sitemap using the Google Webmaster Tools

Many Thanks

VJ

quick newb question...

in my admin panel under "yahoo application id" what do i put?

"y_key_00000000000.html"

or the number inside the file such as "duieo565654564545"

or something entirely different?

thanks in advance

Is it possible to save the sitemapfiles in the root instead of the data library?

I removed // from this line:

define('VBSEO_DAT_FOLDER', dirname(__FILE__) . '/../'); // choose this to place sitemap files directly to your vB root

but it only creates sitemap_index.xml.gz in the root

not the real sitemap file with all the content: sitemap_1-xml.gz

I have the
Code:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /index.php on this server.

If I used virtualhost
How to fix this problem?
