I was a little confused about the warnconfig.php and the fact that you had to save the options before the script worked (i did it 3 times thinking i had done something wrong, ack)

So just reminder to people who are installing this are don't want to shift through 30 pages like i did lol

1.warnconfig.php isn't there, don't worry. Just run the installer
2.save your options in the vb panel once before testing script.

Thanks again for this wonderful script. It makes slapping those small-time spammers a little easier. I would hate to ban someone over alittle spam, and its usually hard to keep track of how many times you might have to talk to a user. This way keeps track for you and allows the user to realize they are getting close and closer to a ban.

The only suggestion i have for this is to have an option (as an admin) to recieve an email when someone is banned with a link to the user's warn-list.

Just wondering if an add-on for Lesane's Store Hack exists wherein users can pay to have warning points removed?

If not, anyone up for creating such an add-on?

Also i have another prob. The warning level only appears for the first post on each page!! On the user that starts the the thread can get warned as well as the first user that posted on each additional page.

There are options in the admin cp to add and change warnings.

I looked but I only see the section for warnings under the "vbulletin options" menu at the bottom. I can only change which groups can recieve/give warnings but nothing for changing warnings. I took the download file off the first page of this thread. Is that an old version or something because it seems to have not installed correctly on my forums.

I installed the latest hack however some users have thier warning level appearing and disapearing. Not all registered users can be warned. One minute I can warn someone, the nextI can't!

g-force2k2 or anyone for that matter, do you know to include the URL to the offending post within the e-mail and pm that gets sent to the user? also, is there a way where a user could click a link in their Cp or somthing to show them all their warnings?

HELP!!

Everything was fine while installing - UNTIL i tried to run the install_warning.php. It won't install the tables/queries correct.

First error I get:
Database error in vBulletin Control Panel 2.2.9:

Invalid SQL: ALTER TABLE user ADD warninglvl int(10) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0'
mysql error: Duplicate column name 'warninglvl'

mysql error number: 1060


Then if I drop the table entry - and click Refresh in the automated script - I get this error next:

mysql error: Duplicate entry '40' for key 1

mysql error number: 1062


I don't know where to go next.

(all instructions in the installation_txt have been followed - all file edits are done. I don't understand the queries stating duplicate - as this is the first time I am installing this hack (fresh install - NOT upgrading)

I installed the hack on another forum and it workd fine. Must be a problem with my first forum.

I also found an error in the uninstaller. It will work but it leaves the warning options in the vbulletin options control panel. In order to completely uninstall everything you will need to do the following:

Open warn_install.php
find (approx line 263-264)
and replace the two number 44s with 40s to get this:

Save it, upload it and then you'll be able to run the uninstaller.

It's trying to delete the wrong thing which will leave an unwanted option in your admin cp. I like my forums clean if you know what I mean.

Does anyone have this working for 3.0? If not, I would be willing to pay someone for it.

Sorry for not updating my hacks, but I will be doing a complete update and changes for the vb3 version that I will be working on and completing when vb3 is released.

Ok guys, Ive installed this hack. Everything works fine, exept the warnlink on the postbit. I have read ALL of the posts and I still cant get it to work. There is no "submit" button on my vb options on my user cp, and I have saved the changes. Also, I have the correct usergroup id's. Still nothing. Can someone please help me!!!!!!
