OK...downloaded and installed. Looked at the settings and didn't know what most of them mean. Left the vast majority at the default setting. Hopefully they work OK. Manually generated the first map and got no errors. I GUESS thats good. Bottom line is that I know very little about this. VBSEO is still installed. Should I assume that this one is working and disable VBSEO?

I did get this email showing that it was generated and submitted. One thing I wonder about is the DBGallery URLS. It says zero. I do have it installed and a LOT of images imported into it. Why does it say zero?

Summary:
Custom URLs: 0
Show Thread URLs: 73,001
Forum Display URLs: 2,777
Poll Results URLs: 85
Blog URLs: 1
Blog Tag URLs: 1
Member Profile Album URLs: 8,241

CMS Content URLs: 2

[DBTech] DragonByte Gallery: Image URLs: 0

If you go to dbtech site they will config all settings for you for free just make a post over there

dknelson 12-08-2014 08:36 AM

I'll check there when I have time. For now, I have disabled it. The links from email notificaitons and etc. were messed up. They took you to a page not found.

I'm confused about the Friendly and Canatonical URLs. Do they need to be turned off or not? I saw where it said that they had to be turned off with VBulletin 4 but then also saw that if you disable the VBulletin sitemap generator that they did not need to be turned off.

So should they be turned off or not? The builtin VBulletin sitemap generator is turned off.

This SEO plugin is better then vBSEO?

In all aspects - operation, effectiveness, latest SEO technology and practices ...and most important SUPPORT!

DBSEO came out a year ago and was better than vbSEO then, now it's had a year of upgrades and improvements to further separate the two.

If your still using vbSEO you are only hurting yourself. Even the free version of DBSEO will put you much further ahead.

Hey bro I sorted this out,
I am really sorry to say this that this was not due to Dbtech SEO mod.
I did some custom coding to headinclude and that was causing the issue
I am sorry again

Good to hear

khalled 12-11-2014 08:06 PM

i installed DragonByte SEO from 80 days now and the two day after installed it my web vistiors (depen on Google Analytics)decarse to about 50 % and i wait till now about 80 days that my site traffic return again but that not happen till now, did i need to wait more than that ? or it's better to remove DragonByte SEO and back to vbulletin friendly urls

dknelson 12-11-2014 08:14 PM

I am seeing that it takes a while for the new sitemaps to be crawled. You say that your traffic has returned. Why change it if it is at least back to where you were? I would give it some more time at least.

RichieBoy67 12-12-2014 11:11 AM

I am having an issue when trying to post internal links they get shortened.

For example, if I were to try to post https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...=308615&page=6

it would be shortned to

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php

i have tried changing the settings on how links are handled to no avail. I have this mod disabled again.

If you changed all your urls than you basically had to start over and you lost any link weight you had. At this point though I would tell you not to change your links back!

There are also many other factors that can be impacting your traffic such as the latest algo updates.

Cross-posting your issue across multiple sites makes it harder for us to properly track your issue, so we'll only be answering this @ our site :)

After 10 years on this site I am unsure why my posts are being moderated now.

I only posted here to get feedback from other members on the issue. I know you are busy and I thought someone else could shed some light.

I believe setting the legacy option under the rewrite section would probably fix this but I am not sure.

Thanks RichieBoy67 for your feedback , actually all urls had been changed just aftear i installed DragonByte SEO from vbulletin Frindly URL to defult DragonByte SEO new URL , as advise for other members is it better to not change URL , and also as advice for me to what time i need to take to recover link weight i previously had (my web site about 6 year old ) and is it better to go one with the current DragonByte SEO new URL or return to vbulletin Frindly URL

Alan_SP 12-13-2014 09:25 PM

@khalled, if I were you, I'd ask on DBTech's site what is the best course of action for you to take.

DBSEO as an option has this:

Quote:

URL Rewrite History
Change your URL Rewrite Rules without losing ranking
Checks for old URL formats only if no matches are made to existing formats
Stores only one copy of each old URL format for maximum database efficiency
Results are cached in the Datastore for maximum performance
It basically means you can keep old links' ranking and still use new ones. But, how to set this option, better ask on DBTech's site. They probably will help you to do that.

Arrowchat or Cometchat Plugin do not work with dbseo.

Is there a solution?
I wish I could buy dbseo pro but it is not really possible to have a look why the plugin arrowchat or cometchat not works with dbseo installed?

I do not have these problems with vBSEO

Gadget_Guy 12-14-2014 02:33 PM

I use DBSEO and I have had both Cometchat and Arrowchat working.

(I kept arrow chat and it works perfectly for me)

You need to add the directories you have them installed in to your .htaccess:

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(admincp/|dbseocp/|modcp/|cron|arrowchat/|cometchat/|mobiquo|forumrunner|api\.php|reviewpost/|classifieds/|photopost/)

D.

You should alter the .htaccess admincp references to the renamed admincp directory.

going by your above error you have more than the one table missing from dbtech_dbseo_sitemapbuildlog
run this query
Code:

DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `dbtech_dbseo_sitemapbuildlog`;
CREATE TABLE `dbtech_dbseo_sitemapbuildlog` (
  `sitemapbuildlogid` int(10) unsigned NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,
  `dateline` int(10) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0',
  `builddetails` mediumblob,
  `sitemaphits` int(10) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0',
  `spiderhits` int(10) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0',
  `prevbuilddetails` mediumblob NOT NULL,
  PRIMARY KEY (`sitemapbuildlogid`)
) ENGINE=MyISAM

then rebuild the sitemap

khalled 12-26-2014 10:05 AM

Stopword List
when this option is active ,google web master give me more that 5000 error for not found page because some of threads have one of this stopword in his titles, and now after install DragonByte SEO and activate stopword the lank for the above page was changed and this page have backlink from anther website
so what advise in this ? are it is good to make stopword to No

Everything is in the correct location. I've been running and updating this since it first came out. Since this last release it's been nothing but database errors.
