Make one what?

This add-on works with 4.2.2.

alcazarx 09-15-2014 02:08 PM

Master nhawk is right, it works with 4.2.2 PL1.
The only "change" you maybe need is to translate in your language, if dont want in english.

Make sure you're uploading the CONTENTS of the upload folder, not the upload folder itself. And that you've uploaded them to the same folder that vB is in.

You can't put it in the middle, you have a choice between navtab_start and navtab_end.

Edit the 'Advanced Application Form', 'parse_templates' plugin and change $template_hook['navtab_end'] to $template_hook['navtab_start']

dorans 12-11-2014 07:15 PM

Thank you for your response.
It would be nice to have middle.

There is no hook in the vBulletin navtabs to place it in the middle.

The application system isn't meant to be held in a forum. I'm surprised it works at all for you.

But, what you're asking about has nothing to do with this add-on.

If you've added a link to the application forms, then the forum_link icon is missing from your style.

Hi there,

Maybe this has been answered before and I just can't find it in the search results, but is there anyway at all possible that I can make a certain form only able to be submitted lets say 1 time per month for a "roll call" / "check-in" form?

Thank You.

If I put UTF8 characters like ? ? ? ? not appear on the form:

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2015/09/26.png

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2015/09/27.png

What should I do to fix this bug?

nhawk 09-05-2015 03:43 PM

Hmm.. I thought that was fixed ages ago.

I can't look at it today. But, I will find the problem and issue an update on Monday.

nhawk 09-07-2015 10:18 AM

Update released.

Please note that if you are having problems with characters not displayiing properly in the ANSWERS to questions in posts, go to AdminCP->Languages & Phrases->Langauge Manager and change the HTML Character Set for your language to UTF-8.

Manoel J?nior 09-07-2015 03:43 PM

Ok. Perfect!!

Thanks friend

If it's the application form you can't see, check the allowed user groups for both the application type and the application position.

Quick question,

I'd skim read the pages here but couldn't see anything. In the PM response to an application how can i add a html link?

I've tried <a href="> but it just display that code in the PM and not a link. I need to get it to display a text link i.e. <a href="DOMAIN">LINK</a>

SYGRecon 11-08-2015 05:34 PM

I don't know if i'm just missing something or whatever but I can't seem to get the applications to show anywhere after submitted, I made it go to a common forum just to test it but I see no applications popping up.. What do I do?

If you're able to fill out the application, it should post without a problem.

Check to be sure you have 'Post in New Thread' checked in the Position and that the Post User ID has a valid user ID in it.

It is not working why?

What exactly isn't working?

Are there any errors?

What version of vB are you running?

Have you checked the Application Form settings?

Have you checked the Application Type settings?

Have you checked the Application Position settings?

alcazarx 11-13-2015 06:50 PM

Hm, another try of suggestion a feature / change :p
Would it be possible when adding/editing a position within a category to make the categories a select box instead of the current radio-buttons?

Thanks and nice weekend.

That's not possible because each application position can only belong to one application type. To enable what you want to do would take quite a few changes in the code. And while I am supporting all of my add-ons for vB4 with bug fixes, I am not adding any new features to them.

alcazarx 11-14-2015 07:48 AM

A bit clarification, maybe misunderstanding.
Currently categories are shown as in upper [] ,me asks if its possible to show them like in the lower [] .
It would still be single select.
Thanks.

nhawk 11-14-2015 08:36 AM

Ah, a dropdown selection. That's different. I'll see whay I can do after the holidays.

Sigger 01-13-2016 06:34 PM

Does this have a character limit or something related to that? Sometimes when a user tries to submit a form it results into being redirected to a 404 instead, but this only happens when quite a lengthy application gets posted, but the forum character limit does not get met.

The forms do not have a character limit. If you are having problems, check your PHP configuration. In particular the memory_limit and post_max_size.

Since the holidays are over, I will now ask why you want it changed to a dropdown?

It's a simple change from my standpoint, but I can't see any good reason why that should be done.

Hey, thanks for the suggestion! Currently the post_max_size is set to 128M and the memory_limit to 512M, which should probably be enough for a single post. Is there anything else you could think of that might work?

Thanks for the help!

Since a 404 error is a 'Page Not Found' error, something is wrong somewhere on your system. Either a redirect or the page the user is being sent to doesn't exist on your server.

Yea, that's what I figured at first as well. However the form works, it just results in a 404 when it exceeds a certain character limit for some reason, which doesn't match up with any limits on the forum.

And what is the point at which this happens? How many characters?

If you're running php as fcgi, it could be a setting there too (FcgidMaxRequestLen, FcgidMaxRequestsPerProcess or several others)

The 404 not found error could be your error page that should be displayed is not being found for some reason. Check your server logs for why the 404 error is showing up.

Sorry for not answering.
And sorry, me forgot the reason for the request (its the age :( ), so lets cancel that.
Thanks.
