this is something you need to talk to your host about as only they can fix it |
Why is it timing out? How do I explain to my server folks what I am doing and how to stop it from timing out.
What is the info from my admin panel of my site? Why does it stop after looking at only a little amount of my site? |
Search Engines Pings:
Google : Successful Bing : Successful Yahoo : FAILED Ask : FAILED How to fix FAILED issue? Have any update about on this ? |

Default showpost is disabled for sitemap. Should I leave it this way, or would it give me better seo if I turned it on, just it would take more server juice?

What are the re-write rules for 4.2??? URGENT ticket submitted! Lots of money spend on getting results in google, this is important! |
I have recently upgraded my 3.8 to 4.2 suite. I had the old vbseo sitemaps 2.5 installed which I disabled before the upgrade. Can I just install this one over the top? is there any issues with 4.2?

Do beg your pardon for not seeing that small notice at the top of the page :erm: ...and you are going to need to explain your problem a little better than Originally Posted by RoC wonko View Post [an error occurred while processing this directive] well I thought that stating this would cover it "when i look at the reports I get this error message [an error occurred while processing this directive] " but obviously I was wrong. |

I'm wondering if anyone could get it to work on vb4.2 pl3 without any issues???
still having some weird redirects with it.... any comment is appreciated... |
works good with 4.2.0 PL3 did you add the line in your .htaccess file
RewriteRule ^((urllist|sitemap).*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$ vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 [L] |
after installing this mod, my site traffic ranking started falling and caused me to loss a lot of traffic and visitors count ...
uninstalled... Thanks |
Getting this message after I run the generator...

Hadn't had an issue with this mod for over a year, until about a week ago.
Sitemap generations started giving Internal Server Errors (500) when generating a new sitemap. After trying a ton of different things to try and resolve it, I was finally able to get a sitemap to build without error by turning off "Auto-Notify Search Engines" in the settings. The time for creation of the sitemap after doing this went from an average of taking about 12-14 seconds over the last year down to taking less than 1 second (still getting all the links) with the auto-notify off. This got me to thinking that when contacting the search engines it is waiting for some sort of response. The "500 Internal Server Error" error I have been getting over the last week with auto-notify turned was erroring out at about 1 min and 14 secs after starting the sitemap generation, which is exactly 1 minute longer than the standard creation time I had been seeing, so I believe the server is just timing out waiting for a response that it use to be getting before the last week or so. Can someone report if they are having similar issues. ------------ Edit: Seems to definitely be related to just that one "Auto-Notify Search Engines" setting: Setting ON - get error, Setting OFF - works fine |
I've noticed that if I run the Sitemap Generator manually from within vBSEO Sitemap Reports or it runs automatically from Scheduled Tasks - it does not pick up any forums without posts. But when running the cron job manually from Scheduled Tasks the empty forums will get picked up and added to the sitemap.
Anyone else experience/confirm this? |

When I do this - my forum becomes inaccessible.. ? |

Although I moved the forum into a new directory when I upgraded it, and have 301 redirects in place for that. |
