I haven't changed anything?

Delilahs 05-06-2010 04:03 PM

check your usergroup permissions and also the admin permissions.

Although if you have submitted a few I would imagine it could be just a small error you are encounting.

LouisB 05-06-2010 04:52 PM

Checked permissions still no joy. I've tried reinstalling it and still no luck.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Jaxel 05-06-2010 05:22 PM

I got the system working with Hulu...
http://test.8wayrun.com/media/m1486-...t-laser-cats-5

You'll have to wait until the next version to use it though... since it requires a secondary serviceVAL which isn't currently programmed in.

darren1981 05-06-2010 05:29 PM

Very impressive, Thank you

EDIT: I was wondering if using the SEO option.. will this conflict with VBSEO ?

Cheers

It would make it a lot easier for everyone as well.

COL NIL SATIS 05-06-2010 07:49 PM

Jaxel this is blowing me away mate ....!!!! Amazing

NEW FEATURE: Users can now give hearts to media and mark them as favorites.

Any usergroup with permissions to rate, will have permission to mark favorites.
NEW FEATURE: User Profile Tab for most recent media.

This uses the new "tiny" bit; which is selectable as the main bit in admincp.
NEW FEATURE: Widget support for both the ForumHome Sidebar and the vbCMS.

TimberFloorAu 05-06-2010 07:54 PM

Stunning !

TimberFloorAu 05-06-2010 08:07 PM

I have a suggestion.

Perhaps a Icon for each of the VIDEO websites, just above SUBMIT URL. on media.php page, next to Media URL:

That links to each of the different sites, this would allow users to quickly navigate to youtube, vimeo etc.

In the fixed styles all is displayed correctly, but in the fluid ones there is a problem:

http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/1810/testfq.png

Is it possible to correct it? For instance, to put blocks in the center?

Fixed for next version... next version is another large rewrite to the service hoster engine.

ProFifaLeagues 05-07-2010 03:41 AM

Only problem we are having (im sure we had it before on a early version, but got that fixed before this upgrade) is when trying to post a comment, when clicking submit it fails to do so,No error just reacts as if you havent clicked the button.Any ideas please???
I've looked back over the pevious posts but cant find anything in regard this problem!
Thanks

docvader 05-07-2010 04:25 AM

I'm almost embarrassed to ask this Jaxel, having used vbulletin since the early 3 series, but, where do we put the code to create this new sidebar? Is the new media widget a php execution type? does it draw from the site collection at random? Sorry, I just can't find any directions with this.

One of the reasons why I hate the new system for VB4... nothing is documented well, no real directions... and it lacks the ability to add both sidebar blocks and cms widgets through an upload system... something that should have been in on day 1. You'll figure it out eventually.

docvader 05-07-2010 05:10 AM

[QUOTE=Jaxel;. You'll figure it out eventually.[/QUOTE]

LOL. I LOVE THAT. With an attitude like that, I'd hire you, if I had a job myself...

Found it. I shall self flagellate, I shall hide my head in shame. It was in the Forum Blocks Manager.

Imagine that.

TimberFloorAu 05-07-2010 05:39 AM

I have done fisheye menu for media.php

Video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUhHGw5bvz0

If Jaxel is interested I can share the files, and he can ignore/use/recode to his hearts desire and release if he sees fit, as it is his MOD :)

Regards

Jaxel 05-07-2010 06:33 AM

Interesting... I'm more curious on where you got those ICONS than anything else...

Nice!

Anybody got the code for myspace videos?

LouisB 05-07-2010 10:46 AM

Hi Jaxel,

Do you have any ideas why i keep getting this error after i click submit? I've checked permissions.

Quote:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /media.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Really sleek !!

Footman 05-07-2010 07:08 PM

well, I've finally gotten around to installing 0.6 and I have to say it was seamless and painless. Unlike some other mods out there. Very well put together. I do have an issue, but it seems it's not too important. I get the following error message on the top of the screen when I open the "media" tab.

Code:

Notice: Use of undefined constant E_DEPRECATED - assumed 'E_DEPRECATED' in /media.php on line 13
Video from youtube still loads and plays perfectly.

A feature request: Allow the smilies we have to show in the comment box. Unless I missed a setting somewhere.

marked installed and 5 stars

typo alert:::
::: #3 of the installation instructions reads - " Import the product file called "product-media.xml" in the Product Manager of vBulletin." The file name in the package is "product-medialibrary.xml"
