I tried this and my users with neg rep still cant use the arcade.

This weekend I upgraded from vBulletin 3.5.1 to 3.8.4 my current v3Aracde is v1.0.6

The instructions talk about upgrading from 3.0.x and 3.6.x but nothing in between/

So how I upgrade my vbulletin 3.5.1 / v3arcade 1.0.6 to 1.1.1 ?

I have v3 Arcade

It would be nice to have some direction to more games, and the opportunity to purchase the rights to use them.

Id love to add farkle and other premium games, and Im willing to pay for them.

Id also like to know how I can get vbcredits to charge a fee for playing .
Ill slip back over the paid licence area for more.

Individual games . I have had trouble with posting scores, but overall the hack works as expected.

Im just wondering if some of our favorite developers , havn't been issued the beta 4 and are off in programmer land making there hacks and mods work with the new version.

ok so now that I've upgraded my vBulletin from 3.5.1 to 3.8.4 the arcade trophy and options to challenge someone are not showing up in the main forum.

I want to upload the latest version and import the xml but I'm afraid to break it more than it is, has anyone done this?

To upgrade to the current Gold versions, 1.1.1, just follow the instructions in the 'read me' file... unless you have some hacks or other custom changes, you should be able to just upload all of the files from the /forums folder to the same folder where you have your vBulletin installed and then import the product XML in your ACP.

Don't forget to click 'Installed'. :)

For more games, you'll want to keep an eye out for when v3A 2.0.0 is released. v3A has been completly re-worked for integration with MochiGames.

Check this thread over at vBCredits.com.

If you can repeat the problem with specific games, please report it over at v3Arcade.com so we can try to duplicate it. If it can be duplicated, it can be fixed. :D

If they were off in 'programmer land' playing with vB4 alpha/beta and starting to work on their hacks & mods, then they couldn't talk about it because it would be against the terms of the non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that they all had to sign. ;)

Nobody has reported this one before. If you don't mind, could you please submit the problem over at v3Arcade.com so it can be sure to get looked at?

Ok, new problem but not too big an issue. Maybe someone here has seen the same thing. I use Multi-colored Crowns in the postbit. But I have a user that has a ton of the crowns and its pushing his posts out of our theme. Does anyone know of a way to have the crowns drop down to another line at a certain number so it wont push the post window outside of out theme?

It *should* but you'll likely need to do some template edits manually.

What version are you using? This problem came up before about the number of awards shown in the postbit, so the newer versions have ACP => v3 Arcade => v3 Arcade General Settings => Show All Awards in Postbit as option.

I could be missing something or even messed something up im switching from IPB to V3 and when i go to "mysite.com/forum/arcade.php it always redirects to .arcade.html but on all the sites i check except mine it says arcade.php.

Also my Auto Template Edit to the Navbar says the same /arcade.html if you hover over it or click and follow it.

By any chance, are you using vBSEO or some other type URL rewriting add-on? If so, you'll want to exclude "arcade.php" & "arcadetourmnt.php" from the rewrite rules (the file "arcadetourmnt.php" is a new file included in v3A 2.0.0, not present in older version).

Out of interest with the new upgrade are there more games? I'm sitting here with over 2000 games I would be more than happy to share this with everyone through yourselves, I realise that amount of games would take a lot of work however can you imagine the interest if you can release a hack with so many pre bundled games?

If you have the game developers permission to modify & redistribute the games for any of the arcade systems, then yes, we'd be interested. Otherwise I would recommend people look forward to the release of v3 Arcade 2.0.0 which will give access to several thousand games through the MochiMedia network.

What are you guys going to do for the release of 4.0, or has that already been taken into consideration with v3 Arcade 2.0?

There is an old converter for the 1.0.x series available here but it is outdated and not supported.

For when v3A 2.0.0 is released an updated converter has been prepared by Brian and has been tested on a few sites already.


For 2.0.0 we have just a few things on the problem list yet before we release it. Essentially some problems are going on that we need to determine if they are unique to the server in question or if something else is going on.
