I am using it on 3.8.0 and it has been working flawlessly since I installed it.

However, a user came to me last night complaining that his signature line which said something like, "Finally some new posts..." shows up properly in his User Profile, but when he posts, the signature read, "Finally some new signatures..."

After thrashing with some variables last night, and digging through templates, I found nothing. That is, until I deactivated this add-on. After shutting it off, the words stopped being replaced. Completely strange.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening, and what a fix might be? These things shouldn't even be related...

I need an attachment resizer. My users aren' tech-savy and have lots of images to share, but don't know how to re size them!

I am also looking for a re sizer of uploaded images as attachments to maximum allowed by forum so you don't need to resize it prior to upload.
If you find a solution to this please post it or PM me. This mod I don't think will re size before uploading a picture as attachment.

I`m using this with vB 3.8.2 !

Awesome Box has a problem, after you close an image posted in any forum it redirects me to the index page of the forum

Also many of the scripts you use for this mods have been heavily updated by their authors so i want to ask you to please update your mod !

Thank You!

I use this script purely for ncode, but to allow users to customise the height and width of the images that they want displayed. It works perfectly on 3.8.2 for this, APART from one small bug, inline attached images. Rather than displaying a thumbnail, I get this:

Quote:

rel="Lightbox"?attachmentid=3328&thumb=1&d=1241928 178" class="thumbnail" border="0" alt="Click image for larger version Name: premierecs3.png Views: 16 Size: 45.9 KB ID: 3328" style="margin: 2px" />
The html looks like this:

Code:

<a href="/forum/attachments/pub/3328d1241928178-hd1080i-video-editing-program-premierecs3dtpng" rel="Lightbox_1191788" id="attachment3328" >rel="Lightbox"?attachmentid=3328&amp;thumb=1&amp;d=1241928178" class="thumbnail" border="0" alt="Click image for larger version

Name:    premierecs3.png
Views:    16
Size:    45.9 KB
ID:    3328" style="margin: 2px" /></a>

If I could clean that up, I'd be 100% stoked. Will have a look into it myself and see if I can figure out what is going on.

*edit*

voter - I should have read your post first... I see what's going on now. Will have a play.

HTML needs to be:

Code:

<a href="/forum/attachments/pub/3328d1241928178-hd1080i-video-editing-program-premierecs3dtpng" rel="Lightbox_1191788" id="attachment3328" ><img src="/forum/attachments/pub/3328d1241928178t-hd1080i-video-editing-program-premierecs3dtpng" class="thumbnail" border="0" alt="HD1080i Video Editing Program-premierecs3dtpng" style="margin: 2px" /></a>
For the same block.

*edit 2*

Alright - Sorted. This is what to do on 3.8.2 if you want it to work properly. Note, that I don't want to use the "flash" replacement Lightboxes, and to be honest I highly doubt any of your users would either, all I wanted was someway to stop my theme from being broken, but not at the expensive of people with large monitors only being able to see tiny images. These are the options I use:

Image Resizer Enabled: Yes
Default Resize Mode: Enlarge in same window
Javascript downsize mode: Ncode
--Colours, just what ever---
Highslide: outline Type: drop-shadow
Image size: What ever, I set mine at both 900/900 for default, since most people use at least 1280x1024
Resize external images in sigs: No. I don't allow images in sigs anyhow, so don't know if this is working.
Resize Images in vB's Albums: Yes
Album Size: Same as above
Replace vb's default lightbox for attached files: No
Resize attached images with no thumb?: No
IMGLink tag, resize it?: Yes
IMGLink tag, kill in signatures?: Yes
User Options: Allow only change dimensions

That disables all of the options that "break" this modification in some way and allows your users to set at what size they want their images to be resized. You don't need the attachment resizing because vb3.8 takes care of that it's self.

amjadz4 05-24-2009 03:20 PM

I have a problem. The script is resizing ALL images posted in the forums. I do not want this. I want to select the size of the images which should be resized. For example: All images greater than 500px should be resized only!

Please help!

my_aly 05-25-2009 10:32 PM

thank you

I.am 05-27-2009 09:48 AM

it doesn't work on my 3.8.2 , i use a custom bbcode to align image and text, someone have a good solution to fix my problem?

this is the line code used by me to align image and text for the right side:

Code:

<img src="{param}" align="right" hspace="5" vspace="1" add border="0"/>
with this tag: [imgr] image url here [/imgr]

Thanks

sandt38 05-28-2009 11:32 PM

Works great for me. Thanks...

voter 06-01-2009 07:24 PM

Undefined function ncode_imageresizer_replace() error or the error IE reports like Unable to browse the web site with undefined function, appearing when one decides to use in "The Image Resizer - Options" for "Javascript downsize mode" the case TCattd mode (Needs a Lightbox selected!) instead of Ncode mode.

In that case just disable via Plugin Manager the plugin "TCattd - Resize external posted images for Blogs" in .

In any case resizing in Blogs you could disable as of it is not working-buggy

amin 06-01-2009 08:02 PM

I have an Idea it will be great of you add it to the Hack :) .
Can you add watermark function?

MikesSite 06-07-2009 10:09 PM

Installed, what I was looking for...thanks!

wo0kie 06-12-2009 04:11 AM

Why does it allow zoom in on ALL images? Shouldn't it only be ones with widths/heights greater than the maximum allowed? :S

ZiG 06-17-2009 06:52 PM

this is working for me on the frontpage
http://www.rdyup.com/forums/home

but not in normal posts, it hangs or doesn't work properly

whats wrong?

g00gl3r 06-20-2009 03:02 PM

will this work on 3.8?

amjadz4 06-20-2009 03:26 PM

yes it works on 3.8.x ...

Raptor 06-22-2009 03:03 AM

works a treat for me - vb 3.8.3

hinomaru 06-23-2009 12:21 PM

how to disable image resizer for unregistered usergroup? so the unregistered usergroup can't see the thumbnail of image resizer.

Fynnon 07-02-2009 10:27 AM

The coder of this mod didn`t post in this topic from almost 1 year ago:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...50#post1611950

aquila125 07-12-2009 10:24 AM

I'm running 3.8.3 and installed this product but it's not working.. all images stay in original size.. If I look in the source I see:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.url.be/forums/clientscript/tcattd_imageresizer.js?v=1.2.7"></script>

in the post:
<img src="http://www.travelblog.org/Wallpaper/pix/waterfall_desktop_background-1600x1200.jpg">

So it doesn't add any code to the img tag... what am I doing wrong?

mavortium 07-13-2009 10:41 PM

Bug/problem for you. If you open threads in a new tab in firefox (not checked other browsers of consequence), using the middle mouse button or "open in new tab", the unseen tab does not resize the images. When you switch to the tab in question you see the image at full size. The only way to have it resize the images is to reload the tab that you're looking at.

I'm using the TCattd mode with highslide - I haven't tried other settings.

For an example, open this link in a new tab but don't give it focus. If you give it focus at all while it's loading you won't see the problem.

worked great on my 3.8.3 board. exactly what i needed!!

Are album images counted as "External Images" or why it takes the max size settings of the external option? It ignores the max size settings for the albums images. :-/

Is there a fix?

Exact same issue here.

There's a conflict between the Resize Mod an the MGC Chatbox Evo.
It's loading all the time, if i enable the mod.

Whoa this is a mega thread and a bit intimidating. I am new to all this and ran across this mod. when I first joined, but did not know this was exactly what I needed. I was directed here by member KevinL.

Thanks KevinL!!

I am wondering whether this mod. will function with VB 3.8.3

Sorry if that's a dumb question, but as long as I find the correct mods I need I have ninja friends who will install them. I just cannot be wasting their time so I must do as much groundwork as I can on my end to direct them to the right application.

Thanks in advance.

Same problem, in any browser, i have to refresh the page a few time for the images shrink. It doesnt seem to work the first time you load a page.

Thanks so much for the input Scitz. Can you quantify or further explain the issue you are having with attached images?

Attached or images uploaded directly to our site in posts seem to be functioning OK with the size parameters I have set. This is not the case with user albums.

My problem is that we work with many hi-res images that are linked from photobucket, etc. and resizing them is a major PITA for our members. I spend much time uploading my images to photobucket or other software and then to have to further resizer them just so they can be put in a post. It would be less work for users and better for those who wanted to keep the photos if they could have them in their native resolution and a huge clickable thumbnail would show up in the thread.

User Albums has an issue and no matter where I try to set the size parameters I am alsways able to upload larger images then I allow.

Any input again would be most appreciated.

Can't check right now but if I remember correct when I activate this module for attached images when clicking the image it will open it like its a simple link to a image file in full size. Not like a popup like it should. I have to set "Replace vb's default Lightbox for Attached files?" to No so it uses the buildn't in Lightbox.

Is "Resize Images in vB's Albums" set to Yes in your settings?

cliffhanger 07-29-2009 11:36 PM

Will this work with loading video in either lytebox or shadowbox? I use images sometimes, but my site is mostly video that I need to load up into a lytebox or shadowbox? Thanks!

RWerksman 07-30-2009 02:43 AM

I figured out how to get this to work with the attached images. There looks to be an update to the postbit_attachmentthumbnail template that was throwing it off.

Go into the following plugin:

TCattd - Lightbox replacement for Attach-Thumbs

replace every instance of:

Code:

    $tctoputseek = 'rel=\"Lightbox\"';
with:

Code:

    $tctoputseek = 'rel=\"Lightbox_$post[postid]\"';

Until the developer updates this and finally gets the browser reload bugs removed I would never do your code edit to use this mod for attached images! I have an awesome highslide mod that works flawless on all versions of VB!

This mod needs updated to remove the resizing bugs and needs to be really supported. As it stands its the best mod we have for other images but for attached images this cant touch the highslide mod! This mod's only plus point over the highslide mod is being able to scroll through all attached images in the thread and not just for a single post.

gangplank6 07-30-2009 08:35 AM

Installed!! Thanks TCattitude.

Running ok so far with VB 3.8.3

Gotta tune it and will keep you all posted.

Yotsume, worked great, thx :)
