fantastic idea! great hack!
whats about msn video, aol video, vh1, mtv, billboard or musicbrigade? |
chadi, you can edit the way the Box looks in any way you want, to edit the Box or part of it go here ...
AdminCP > AME CP > Settings > Container HTML The Open is for the Top part and the place where the Video will be displayed, the Close contains the Closing HTML for the Video's Box. |
I have installed but don't see how it would work.
Do I have to wrap tags around the UID of the video or something? Have tried many things and can't get anything. It is all enabled but doesn't seem to make the video a video. |
Fabulous Mod. Installed and harvested two years of data and formatted all media perfectly.
Cudos as well to contributing developers... will come back often to find additional plugins. Thanks thanks thanks! Doc www.ddsog.com |

Guys Lets all get together on getting regEXbuddy for Danny Come on Lets Donate $5 ..... All at once We all want more links to Embed and are waiting for someone to step up here
Im not going to be the only one or i would just pay him for my board only as im sure most of you would also ,,, So I say we get together and Donate $5 to him Whos With ME? DM |
Yeah guys, I'm doing this cause I feel like this is a great Hack/Mod and has a lot of potential. I mean Im not gonna be charging to do the RegEx's for you guys, I am simply requesting that you guys buy the License so I can do them for you guys. Everyone will benefit from this in the end.
I can add support for the sites that you guys want, except those who need/require the Extract Feature from AME - I am still waiting on The Geek to explain to me in detail how to use it. I took a look at the way he did it for Yahoo & DailyMotion and I think I understand how it works, but the only way to know for sure is if I have RegExBuddy. I promise though that if I figure out how it works, then I'll add support for those other sites as well. Its only $39.95 USD, its not like its the cost of a vB License ... I am not gonna buy it with my own money because quite frankly that's absurd in my eyes. I would be spending my money to add support for sites I dont really even need? That's kinda just stupid, if you ask me. The only site that I want to add is Break.com, but it requires the Extract Feature of AME so I guess that's an incentive for me to figure out how it works, right? Well, if anyone wants to donate then you can do so by sending any amount of money to shop@talkjdm.com - that's my PayPal ... Once the goal has been reached of $39.95 USD, I'll purchase the license and start the codes, etc. If you feel like donating to me cause of the Sites I have added support for thus far, that's accepted too ;) ... Some people have already contacted me via PMs or Emails asking for my PayPal so that they can donate (I still havent received anything), but I just replied to those about 2 hours ago, so yeah. I also received a few PMs from people who are willing to buy the License completely themselves and also allow me to release the codes publicly - others want me to keep the codes private for them only (no response from either of these groups yet as well). I really would like to offer these for free to everyone, but whoever buys the License decides, I guess ... |
$12.45 On Its Way .... Rounded out my Pay Pal Balance :) THANKS
|
^ Received ($11.79 cause of the PayPal Fees) ... Only $28.16 more needed guys ...
Update: I heard back from the people who said they were willing to buy the license for me, but I had to keep the Codes privately with them only. I told them that I would want to release them publicly, so they have rejected their offer. |
Come ON GUys Lets donate for This !!
Danny List the Sites You will be doing if you get the software funded ....... |
I'll have to check back which sites people want in earlier posts, but that's gonna be a little time consuming. I'll sit down some time this week when I get some extra time and make a list.
In other news I want to thank the following poeple/sites for donating and having helped achieve the $39.95 Goal for the RegExBuddy License ... DiesellMinded - www.dieselbombers.com archaosus - www.3d-palace.com Thanks again guys  ... I'll post up a list sometime soon, I have to head to class now, so I cant do it at the moment. I might sit down tomorrow and do it or on Wednesday. If you guys want to come up with a list of wanted sites (to make it a bit easier for me to keep track, that would be appreciated ;)) ... Anyways, thanks again ... - Danny |
Has anyone got this to work with www.veoh.com - it's a pretty big site and the one i use the most. ;(
|
Veoh.com is already supported - I made the RegEx for it a long time ago, search this thread, you'll find it ...
Here is the link: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....&postcount=392 |
Okay guys, so below is a list of all the CURRENTLY supported sites (If you search this Thread, you'll find each of the links to each of the listed sites). Anyways, besides these listed, which other sites do you guys want me to Add Support for?
Sites Already Supported: - YouTube - MySpace - Google Video - Bolt - iFilm - Meta Cafe - Yahoo Videos - DailyMotion - Amazon - RealMedia Videos - Windows Media Player Videos - DivX Stage6 Videos - Videotube - LiveLeak - Veoh Videos - Photobucket Video - FileCabi - QuickTime Videos - ClipShack - CurrentVid - LiveVideo - Revver Videos - Vimeo Videos - GameTrailers Please keep in mind that I am not able to add support for those sites which require the "Extract Info" Feature to be turned on. The thing is I do not understand how the "Embedding Regexp" option works (located under "Extraction Information"). I sat down for about 6+ hours trying to figure it out and was not able to get it to work at all. I guess The Geek will have to either make the Tutorial he promised for it or someone else that can figure it out, tries and gives it a shot. Anyways, I am asking for you guys to make a list of the sites you want added (besides those listed above), so that I can see if its doable. If so, I would begin working on the RegEx for it and release it once it's done and working. There are wayyyyy too many posts in this thread for me to look 1 by 1 to see which sites you guys wanted me to add, so I'll look at those posts from this point on to see which Sites to add support for, so post 'em up! - Danny |

EbaumsWorld.com requires the Extract Feature of AME, the one that I still dont understand how to use and cant get to work. I wanted to do this one for some time, but cant due to this.

Those interested in Donating can send any amount of $ to my PayPal Account: shop@talkjdm.com ...
CrunchyRoll.com uses JavaScript for their Videos as well as it requires the user to be logged into the site in order to load the video. Basically it would require the use of the Extract Feature from AME plus some other type of coding to try and check if the user is logged in or not. So I cant add support for that one. BangedUp.com is an adult site - I normally dont add support for those types of video sites. Someone had requested PornoTube and I said no previously. Where will this be used though. The reason I dont support Adult Sites is because kids can have access to your forums and if someone posts a link that auto converts into a Video and some little kid sees that, then you know, they shouldn't have. Anyways, I checked out the sites and didnt see any Video Links, etc? Care to point me in a correct direction? Also, I would need a Forum to test these Adult Site RegExs if I decide to do them - My current Host does not allow any type of material that relates to this type of content and since they are pretty strict with their TOS I dont want to violate it and risk on getting my account suspended. |
I have an Adult pass word protected area and users must have the over 18 BD in there profile to even see the forum is there ,
No Biggie at all ,,, DM |
20$ are on the way to you :) If possible I would love a http://www.sclipo.com/ regex :)

----------------------------------------------------------- Anyways, attached are a couple of new RegEx's for those who want to use 'em ... I checked a couple pages back and saw that some people wanted these. For more info on each RegEx see below ... WMV Files: It will auto convert Files with an extension of .wmv ... These can be either files uploaded to your server or on other servers. Simply input the Direct URL to the File (ie: http://yoursite.com/videos/vid.wmv) into the Text Box on vB and it will display the Video. NOTE: I had previously released this, but found a small error on it, so please delete the old one and replace it with this one. RealMedia Files: It will auto convert Files with an extension of .rm or .ram ... These can be either files uploaded to your server or on other servers. Simply input the Direct URL to the File (ie: http://yoursite.com/files/filaname.rm) into the Text Box on vB and it will display the Video. NOTE: I had previously released this, but found a small error on it, so please delete the old one and replace it with this one. DivShare (Videos): It will auto convert Video Files from DivShare.com ... The only down side is that you have to choose if you want to see Videos or Audio from DivShare on your Forums. If you install this RegEx you cannot install DivShare (Audio) - It will cause an error. DivShare (Audio): It will auto convert Audio Files from DivShare.com ... The only down side is that you have to choose if you want to see Videos or Audio from DivShare on your Forums. If you install this RegEx you cannot install DivShare (Videos) - It will cause an error. MTV Videos: It will auto convert Videos from MTV (http://www.mtv.com/overdrive) ... MTV allows the Embedding of certain Videos only. So if you see a message such as "This video available only on MTV.com, your next video will begin shortly" then that means that MTV has disabled Embedding on outside sites for that specific Video. It will give you the link to view the video on MTV.com. SWF Files: It will auto convert Files with an extension of .swf ... These can be either files uploaded to your server or on other servers. Simply input the Direct URL to the File (ie: http://yoursite.com/files/video.swf) into the Text Box on vB and it will display the Video. MP3 Files: It will auto convert Files with an extension of .mp3 ... These can be either files uploaded to your server or on other servers. Simply input the Direct URL to the File (ie: http://yoursite.com/music/filename.mp3) into the Text Box on vB and it will play the MP3 File in a Small Player. |

Attached is the RegEx for ehowa.com but please keep in mind that if you use that one, then you cannot use the "WMV Files" RegEx found in Post #595 because it will display an error as they interfere with each other - unfortunately there is no way around this.
brawl-hall.com and consumptionjunction.com cannot be done without the use of the Extract Info Feature, sorry ... |
Thanks
My AME's ...Did I Miss Any? BTW I Uninstalled WMV Amazon Long Island Photobucket GameTrailers You Tube FileCabi QuickTime RealMedia DivX MySpace Google Video Bolt iFilm Meta Cafe LiveLeak MyVideo Yahoo Daily Motion Videotube Carpix TV ClipfishVideos Streetfire Yahoo Video VonYahoo ClipShack CurrentVid LiveVideo LiveVideo (without Subfolders) EHOWA Videos |
The EHOWA video is showing about 1 " by 1" can i fix that ?
|
DM, you can do the following: AdminCP > AME CP > Display > EHOWA Videos > [Edit] and change the "width" and "height" to the pixel size you want - you'll find them in the Replacement Code section (where you see the <object> and <embed> stuff).
As far as if you've missed any AME's I have no idea - I did not install all of the ones that were available, for instance I did not know there was one for Long Island, StreetFire, etc ... |
The Player is changing but the video is the same ... ANy Ideas...
<object id="MediaPlayer" width=400 height=400 classid="CLSID:22D6f312-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95" standby="Loading Windows Media Player components…" type="application/x-oleobject" codebase="http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab#Version=6,4,7,1112"><param name="filename" value="http://movies.ehowa.com/08281218PM/$p1"><param name="Showcontrols" value="True"><param name="autoStart" value="False"><embed type="application/x-mplayer2" src="http://movies.ehowa.com/08281218PM/$p1" name="MediaPlayer" width=320 height=400></embed></object> |
Never Mind I got it thanks !!!
|
If you double click the video it goes full screen SWEET !!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
<a href="http://www.relax.net" target="_blank">www.relax.net</a>
|
DM, yeah if the Video is double clicked it becomes Full Screen, that's part of the option from Windows Media Player - its pretty cool. Oh and yeah you have to change the Width & the Height in both locations of the code. As far as relax.net, it requires the Extract Info feature.
A note to everyone: A quick way to determine if the Video requires the Extract Info Feature is by checking out the Link and the Embed Code provided by the site. If you see the Video's Link in the Embed Code, then I can do a RegEx for it, but if its completely not there at all, then it will require the Extract Info feature and I cannot add support for those sites. I do not know why these Video Sites make it so complicated and not just keep it simple like YouTube does, but oh well ... |
Hi Danny. Thanks for the mod.
If you can do godtube.com that would be great. I know nothing about programming but the embed code looks similar to any other video site like youtube.com Example: Code:
<embed src="http://godtube.com/flvplayer.swf" FlashVars="videoThumb=http://www.godtube.com/thumb/1_11096.jpg&flvPath=http://www.godtube.com/flvideo1/7/11096.flv" wmode="transparent" quality="high" width="330" height="270" name="flv_demo" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" /></embed> |
chadi, unfortunately GodTube requires the Extract Info Feature for it to work. I had checked it out earlier today as I saw your request post, but didnt do it because of this. Let me explain why it cant be done (unless the Extract Info Feature is used).
Here is a Video's Link from GodTube: HTML Code:
http://www.godtube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=e53892347e39b6b00ee8 Here's the Embed Code for the Above Video: HTML Code:
<embed src="http://godtube.com/flvplayer.swf" FlashVars="videoThumb=http://www.godtube.com/thumb/1_24081.jpg&flvPath=http://www.godtube.com/flvideo1/34/24081.flv" wmode="transparent" quality="high" width="330" height="270" name="flv_demo" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" /></embed> As you can see the Video's Link is nowhere to be seen inside the Embed Code, so it would need the use of the Extract Info Feature to extract the Actual URL for the Video and use it in the Embed Code. If you look at the Embed Code you see that the Actual URL for the Video is: HTML Code:
http://www.godtube.com/flvideo1/34/24081.flv I cannot create the Actual URL for the Video (Above URL) from the Video's Link via RegEx's ... It would need the feature that The Geek (author of this Hack) added, which is the Extract Info Feature. What this feature does is it opens up the Video's Link Page and searches (with an extra RegEx) for the Actual URL for the Video, so that then it can be added into the Embed Code and make the Video work/show up. I understand the concept and how it works, but not how to make it actually work. I hope this helps a little so people know which sites can be added and which cant at this point - by me at least. |
