I'm new to vBulletin so apologise if the answer to this question is obvious

I have installed Shoutbox Pro into my vBulletin forum and it is working correctly, however within the display window my message also show the html tags i.e color, /B etc.. Other Shoutbox installations do not appear to dothis just displaying the shouts Bold or in the correct color. What is not correct in my setup?

Is it possible to make the shoutbox only appear when someone logs in, (ie.) they cannot see it as a guest?

I can't delete, prune, or otherwise clear any shoutbox messages either. The shoutbox seems to work otherwise.

Where? The Inferno VBShout settings only allow you to ban specific users. What do I type and where?

It was supposed too, however if you ask them about it, they ignore your threads..

To edit shouts is quite simple people.

Click on the shout you wish to edit and a little box appears at the top and you can edit it, or delete it :)

Quite a good little system, you dont have the buttons in the way.. :D

Hmm Ok I figured it should have been a standard feature to edit posts so if someone acts like a J/A in the SB you could delete the one post or edit it without having to prune the whole box

that works for me.. not sure if it works in the lite version for not..

double clicking, single clicking, /prune...nothing deletes the shoutbox messages for me, and this is essential. vBshout competes with Skype in my forum application for chat duties, and Skype is free (but it's a big download and installation, registration, etc.).

So I must click uninstall. Thanks for vBshout nontheless. It's the simplest, easiest shoutbox to install that I've tried.

jks - try making sure you have the admin usergroup permissions set properly for it - If those commands arent working, that's why.

awesome. im happy w/ the version i have... but im hoping for vbadvanced intergration. im using pro as a staff box and the flatfile as a shout box because i cant get pro working on vbadvanced. i would like to reverse that if i can get it working on cmps.

Just to let you know, it IS illegal - Using copyrighted code without the permission of the author (which you would be doing) is illegal.

Take a look at the DMCA (Digital Millenium Copyright Act) for more information.

We collate websites using this, and periodically file DMCA notifications to their webhosts, which at the very least results in removal of the mod, and often leads to the hosting being cancelled without any refunds (DMCA violations are against almost all hosts TOS)

So the people who take the risk, usually end up regretting it - They lose more money from cancelled hosting than they would from just buying the mod.

The new version, with about 3x as many features, will likely be encoded in any case =)

I installed the shoutbox by the instructions and I am having a problem getting it to work. The shout box shows up, but it just keeps loading and that is it. Any thoughts?

Odly mine has been working fine for months and as of today just seems to hang on loading....

I didn't bother with the lite version, went right for Pro... wow! Install was SO easy, (two minutes max!) and it only took one template edit to get the shoutbox showing on all pages! Thanks for a great product, my members are going to love the surprise when they wake up :)

Even though I am only using the Lite version, this modification is still very amazing. ^^

I'm having trouble just getting the shoutbox to show up on my page article. I put the shoutbox code underneath the navbar just like my index page, as well as added the script to the inferno shoutbox options, it just won't show up!

Can anyone help me?
