Looking at your forumhome, you don't have the Whose Online block active - that must be enabled.

abcmississauga 04-20-2007 01:13 PM

Sweet...........thanks

asasi 04-21-2007 04:42 PM

asasi 04-22-2007 04:55 AM

The Fat Boy 04-22-2007 01:57 PM

for some reason, it shows all the people on the right, and when the forum is busy, that list takes up a full screen... how can I fix that?

BOLT 04-22-2007 02:11 PM

Does who's on have to be activated for this to work?

BOLT 04-22-2007 03:39 PM

Because guests do not have their timezone set correctly (or rather they use the server's timezone). And thus it can show skewed numbers (if the guest is in a timezone that differs a lot from the server's timezone).
Since my server is in Canada, this often happens and incorrectly implies that my site has only a low amount of activity.

For now, I am using the rolling 24 hour option, but it does not have my preference :(

Nipple 04-26-2007 12:22 PM

This is an awesome hack, and it was the easiest I've ever installed.

SoftDux 05-08-2007 09:27 AM

Sorry for the dumb question, but being totally new to VB, how do I install this addon?

I have a live forum with 230+ member & 3500 articles, so I don't want to mess things up.

Can someone please tell me how to install this, or point me to a step-by-step instructions page?

deezelpope 05-08-2007 09:41 AM

Just follow Paul's instructions as stated above...it's a piece of cake!:D

Paul M 05-08-2007 02:59 PM

As it says ;

Unzip the XML and import into vB using the ACP Product Manager.

SoftDux 05-08-2007 03:08 PM

I think I got lost with the "ACP Product Manager" part, I can't quite see it. Yet...

SoftDux 05-08-2007 03:11 PM

In the admin section, I have clicked on "Plugins & Products > Manage Products > Add/Import Product > Browse for XML file", and I can then see it in my list, but can't see where to "admin" it?

There's a "Edit" button on the right, but that only seems to be stuff related to the script, like version, history, etc.

Paul M 05-08-2007 05:59 PM

You have now imported it ?

The settings are in the Vbulletin Options.

SoftDux 05-08-2007 06:50 PM

yes, thank you. I have got it installed. I think my big learning curve comes from the fact that things are scattered all around, and clicking on the plugin / addon's name doesn't take you to it's program settings, which is where I would expect it to be.

Anyway, what do you think about it? It's running on http://www.WebHostingTalk.co.za

Paul M 05-08-2007 10:16 PM

If you want people to comment on your style then post in the community reviews forum. :)

SoftDux 05-09-2007 05:30 AM

Thanx, I'll keep that in mind

LeeCHeSSS 05-09-2007 08:09 AM

Paul, have you considered my request for an additional option to show rolling-24-hour-mode to guests and fixed-day-mode to registered members?

If not, or you decide against it, would you mind if I tried my hand on it and provide it here?

Sorry, but I'm not going to add that, it's something unique to yourself. You are free to modify it on your own forum of course, but not release it, I don't want multiple versions confusing people. :)

xxxmotoxxx 05-09-2007 11:44 AM

Not if you cannot learn a bit of patience. Do you think I have nothing better to do with my days than check this thread every hour.

xxxmotoxxx 05-09-2007 07:32 PM

Calm down ,i was only asking for some help...

I'm not sure I understand. Do you mean you have other threads to check? :o

Paul M 05-10-2007 06:46 AM

Strangely enough, yes :)

(and a life to lead ..... ;))

Very nice Hack/Mod Paul, thanks for the effort you put into this. In perfect combination with the Track Guests hack/mod

blackleg 05-12-2007 12:42 AM

I think it doesn't work with 3.6.6, is it?

Why would it not

Mrdby 05-12-2007 02:02 AM

Wrong.

It says vB Version: 3.6.x for a reason - it works with any of them.

runestone 05-12-2007 08:44 AM

IE7 (version 7.0.5730.11) hangs on the forum home page with this hack installed on vB 3.6.6 - the browser eventually times out and gives an option to stop a script running.

Disabling the hack fixes the problem. Strangely, it seems Firefox isn't affected by the problem.

The bug has been confirmed by a number of my board members.

inciarco 05-12-2007 12:59 PM

Magnific Add-On!!

Works Ok With vBulletin 3.6.6!!

:)

I have exactly the same issues happening and also being reported by my members. Once this hack is disabled the problem went away.

Mozilla works fine. Only IE is problematic. One user reported this issue using 6.09 as well.

And I have the same problem...

zekiturk 05-12-2007 07:10 PM

its working not with explorer 6 :(

djbaxter 05-12-2007 07:11 PM

I just upgraded to 3.66. Using IE7 7.0.5730.11 (all latest updates). This add-on is working fine for me - no errors.

Paul M 05-12-2007 07:25 PM

This doesn't run any browser scripts, and I use IE6, and it's fine for me.

In fact, I can't see what could possibly have changed in 3.6.6 to affect this, and I have been running 3.6.6 for weeks.

AuroraStorm 05-12-2007 08:23 PM

Oh snap, I was looking for this...
