The maximum downloadsize is buggy.
When I enter 15 (for 15MB) the users cannot download at all. When I enter a value over 100 it seems to be working OK. |

On Plesk servers for example there are two different PHP.ini's one for the admin CP and one for the sites. Maybe you are facing something like that? |
Quote:
lol its not buggy your entering in 15 which would be 15 bytes you ave to read it. |
I've been reasonably patient now. It would be nice if the bug I presented about approvals could be taken a look at, because it's weekend now.:)

Don't forget hehehe I am the Admin, these 2 servers are right beside me so I set them up... |

We are currently working on DownloadsII 5.0.4, which will fix all known bugs (and maybe add one or two small new features) |
Cool, thanks! :D

Ok first thanks to everyone who tried to help on my problem of max_file_size which wouldn't change from 2 meg. WHOOT WHOOT I finally got it to change, the bloody php.ini file has to copied to the /usr/local/lib/ directory after you do a recompilation of the php. That is why the parameters wouldn't change. Once I did this it worked ok even on my LIVE server. If you don't compile your PHP, then /etc/php.ini is what you can change to increase that pesky max_file_size. Man do I feel relieved on this ......Dragonhart |

it seems like the program expects to open a HTML file, not any other types. also about download programs. the program doesn't send cookies to the download programs and it doesn't understand that the user is logged in already... |

DownloadsII isn't working with download programs (download managers), we know that and there's no fix for it at the moment. So you just have to download with your browser :) |

A small teaser for the next release:
When you press the delete button now, your file is gone forever. In version 5.0.4 there will be an AJAX pop-up to confirm the deletion :) |
help!

You also need to set your permissions correctly, otherwise you get a "no permission" page. To show it on your vBa CMPS portal page, you need to install this add-on :) |
In the next version can you have another stats page that shows a member list with the total downloads, uploads and bandwidth.
How do you change the wait time to 30 seconds instead of 60.? |

Very nice! A couple minor details:
1.) the credits include a link to http://www.elitecoders.org/ which requests a password or gives an authorization denied. So possibly that link should not be there??? 2.) under Options -> ec download options it says "The relative path to your download folder. Do not change unless you know what your doing!" The second your should be you're. |
There is also one minor glitch with the admin import function -- when I use the admin import all the stats disappear until I upload or edit a file as a user. (and the files uploaded by admin using the admincp import do not show under the admin cp downloads screen unless they are edited by a user)

Still it is buggy. When I enter a value up to 15 I get the message "download exceeded" right away. With values 20 and up (and I'm really sure about 50 and up) its counting MB's allright. |
mine seems to work great are you linking to files or uploading them?

PHP Code:
Also, what is the size of the file you are trying to download? |

@ThunderBeast: AdminCP -> vBa CMPS -> Default Settings -> Navbar Replacements That should fix the wrong url's (add downloads.php to the list). Can you give the url of your site for the second problem and maybe explain it a bit, because I don't understand the problem. Be sure you have followed all the steps to add the vBa CMPS module and check the module permissions (AdminCP -> vBa CMPS -> Quick Permissions Editor). |

The next release includes better usergroup limitations (total # downloads per day), but not with number of post per day at the moment. Maybe we create an add-on for this. |

Hello,
After setting up and using DownloadsII I like to say That i like it Vry Much but would like to request for somethings for future releases . 1. It would be nice to create a folder in the /downloads folder for each catagory so that all the files are not all in one unsorted folder . 2. It would be great to be able to enable/disable uploading in some catagories . For example I have a main catagory with a bunch of subcatagories . I dont want my users to be able to upload directly into the main catagory . I want them to upload into the subcatagorys so that they are sorted properly . Some users may upload into the parent catagory by mistake . If this is allready an option i dont see it . Please explain how it is possible . Im sure i will have other requests but those are my 2 main concerns . |

Ohh ya like the others have mentioned have different folders per category. My downloads folder is huge and it takes forever to browse or delete files.

I also thought about using userid but since so many sites have a small number of people uploading, that would work well. Also considered basing it off the month and day but ... again ... if someone does a mass upload to get started, that wouldn't work well. So far, random distribution into a series of numbered sub-folders seems the best way to go. |

Is it anyhow possible to give me a `code` instead of this `{$file['category']}` to put in downloads_search_result_bit just to have it as temporaty solution, because i am going crazy with those ppl :) Thank you |
