I'm currently running v2.1 (which I believe was the last version for 3.0.x)
|
yes I followed the instructions
|
i installed this and i like it so far.
however, is there a way i can make it default sort to 1/8th mile e.t instead of 1/4 mile e.t? that would be great if i could do that. any suggestions? |
nevermind.
i figured it out. you just change 'quarter' to 'eight' in 2 places in the timeslips.php |
Well look who it is. ^ LOL
I have problems installing this feature for my vbulletin because I had it installed on an older version. I upgrade my version of vbulletin a long time and forgot to uninstall the hack first. Thus, the timeslip database is stuck in my server and I can't uninstall it using the install.php. How can I delete it from my database and start fresh? And yes I tried overwriting with the new xml, it won't work, basically because the data already exists. |
Here's the error message when uploading the xml file.

I have vb 3.6 . I installed the 3.6 timeslips and made the recomended hacks.
The import worked . Database tables created. I The only problem is vehicle profile phrases are not recognized. I will get the source for “Submit your timeslip” except since the phrase can not be found the there is no visible link <a href=”profile.php?&do=edittimeslip”></a> Edit vehicle profile does not show up in user cp. Timeslip navigation doe s not show up . Headers (i.e. sort by, Vehicle profile data etc) When I fat finger the ref’s in all works fine. I can enter data, it shows up in timeslips. It all boils down to not recognizing vehicle profile phrases. Any ideas. |

The only thing I have left is: UserCP The Edit Vehicle Profile does not appear in left navigation. Control Pannel/Settings and options |

Yellowjacketgt,
Always save a copy of each template you work on incase something goes wrong!!! Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> select edit Templates on the drop down -> User Control Panel Templates -> Double click USERCP_SHELL AFTER Code:
<tr> Also, can anyone help me with the timeslip images not being shown on mine?! ADD Code:
<tr> If you have multiple skins, repeat for each Also, my users uploaded timeslips dont show and for some reason it shows the users avatar. Any ideas? |
^^^^^
i had the same problem at first.. go back and make sure that the image.php is correct. if you added it in the wrong place it'll pull the picture from the wrong place. |

Now it works. Everything appears to be operational. The only instructions missing was the rebuild phase process when applying the 3.6 timeslip. Thanks |

How do I change the word 'Ride' to 'Car' ..... because in the UK 'Ride' is associated with a less tasteful type of driver....lol
Please. |
In fact more than that, a lot of the terminology needs changing for my users.
Tires/Tyres (sp), types of tyres, 60ft time (irrelevant here), Tranny - would prefer it so say Transmission, Power 'adder' I'd like to change to induction method, 'dragstrip' etc - all things that I need to change otherwise it'll be laughed at here. Fantasic mod though - if I can change the above! NOTE: I know I can change them in the User profile fields, but that is no use when they still appear in the table as Ride etc. I'd also want to change the 60ft, 1/8 et, 1/8 speed fields to 0-62, 0-100 and 0-Max speed times. |
I'd like to change/add some fields as well. How is this done?
Thanks! |
You change the fields in User Profile Fields within AdminCP, but how you change the table headings is beyond me.
Anyone? |
To change the column titles when someone visits your timeslip database is pretty simple.
Just go to your AdminCP -> Style & Templates -> Style Manager -> Choose Edit Templates -> Scroll Down and Double Click on "timeslips" This will bring up your code. The easiest way I do it is hit Ctrl + F which brings up the find box. Then just type in whatever word your looking for such as ride and it will find it for you. Then replace that word with whatever you want there and it will change your title(s). Mike |
Anyone else have the problem where the uploaded timeslip pic when viewed after uploading comes up as the users avatar???
|
Installed and thank you!
I do have one problem and I am not sure if it is something I did or not, I lost my avatars after installing the MOD. This is the error I am seeing when I try to show the properties of the avatar: if ($_REQUEST['type'] == 'profile') // do not modify this $_REQUEST Any one have an idea of what I did wrong and how I can fix this to get my avatars working again? Also how do I get the timeslip MOD to fit on a normal page with? It's the with of two pages right now and I tried changing the setting and had no luck... I am still learning VB and how to do the MOD's so please keep that in mind when trying to help! Thanks, Kyle |
I have several guys running faster than 9.9999 and when they enter there time it puts them at the end of the list. Why is this? and what can i do to fix it?

So does this work in 3.6.5?
|
I have been running Timeslips v2.1 on vB 3.0.3 for a couple of years on my automotive website - I have pages upon pages of timeslips entered for many of my users. I just upgraded to vB 3.6.7 and just like many other people here, I found that I can't just import the .xml file because the user profiles already have timeslip data fields. I see a few instances where people have chosen to wipe out their existing timeslip fields and started over from scratch, but I'd really rather avoid that since I have so many valid slips.
What can be done to use this newer version with an upgraded vB forum without purging the old slips? Help! |
