After reading the Revans post and CMX it only backs up belief in what CMX has done.

ucash/uShop became on of the BIG mods and that is why I bought vbulletin and left SMF for the fact they didn’t have the shop mod finished for the latest release, after I bought vbulletin I realized I paid $165 and was in the same boat. I gave up and installed Vbulletin 3.0 which is fine but man it lags in areas and I have been chomping at the bit to convert to 3.5.

CMX took matters in his own hands after all the excuses that were given by the developers. I thank CMX for taking this time off work to create this for us. I have donated a little bit and plan to donate more. I STRONGLY encourage everybody to do the same.

I have upgraded to v1.0.6.1 but the template edit in my postbit that should instantly link you to donate to that specific user is broken. I still get the eStore page, but it's empty.

So basically this doesn't work properly anymore:
It worked before the upgrade. Does anyone know what might be wrong?

what do you mean by empty? might want to check out the item permissions for this usergroup...

i choose sticky thread and wrote the thread id as 1

and i got this db error

caimakale, CMX said he was going to add the hooks for a gift system.... I would think this means ribbons too?

1) eStore Option: Forum Access, you can buy Access to forums you can't normally see :)
2) eStore Option: Deny Forum Access, you can Deny another user access to a forum of your choosing.
3) eStore Option: Give Forum Access, you can give another user access to a forum of your choosing.
4) Forum Edit Points Options have a header to separate the settings out some.
5) Fixed some eStore Option descriptions.
6) eStore now shows the image if there is one set for that item's imagelocation.
7) Reason field added to Admin Donate & Donate.
8) eStore pages show history at the top now.
9) Bugfix: Sticky/Unsticky Thread options were using a field I had on my boards named sticky_expiry to expire thread.
10) Removed duplicate estore_item_tax phrase.
11) eStore Option: Long awaited Give Gifts feature has been added.

It could mean that, I partially have the ribbons system working on my site and sent him the hooks I am using to make it work. He didn't specifically mention that he would be adding ribbons to the gift system, however, people who really support a cause (like I support the fight against cancer) might want to buy a ribbon for a bunch of their friends...it would add a nice & fun touch to the ribbons system.

For myself personally, I will need to see if I can write something to transfer past ribbon purcahses from ushop into the new gift system. It used it own table in the database to store the userid, ribbon color, and the cause. If CMX is going to implement ribbons, I will need to see how he is going to do it and where he is storing everything before I write an upgrade script to transfer all of those.

I will wait and see...I am work anyways so I can't work on the hack for several more hours anyways...maybe by them we will see if the new release is has it or not.

Can you slip change other users avatar and immunity in 1.0.7? :)

CMX your an animal... merging at this point is a bad idea, in about 3 days there will be so many features in estore that ushop will disapear...

CMX you do any private work? I run a couple of Joomla sites and need a good programmer and well you have more then proven your skills. wow.

This really depens on your choice. Both offer pretty much the same features. They do have different store layouts. I've used both, and quite frankly, they are both worthy and get the job done.

Really can't recommend on over the other.

BTW CMX...What's the price going to be on a branding free option?

At the rate CMX is working estore will have more my 1.8. CMX is open to new ideas and if he likes them they are usally in the next version... while it took ushop how many months to just get a beta out of the exsisting version with a couple of features.

Actully It might be good to start a tracker and monitor the features to help people decide (not that its needed heh)

The 2nd known issue has been resolved by a previous version, I think v1.0.4 and the 1st known issue is solved in v1.0.7.

Those notes will be gone when v1.0.7 releases.

Heh. I surely did. :) I have "some" settings in vbulletin options but nothing on the side. :(

Make sure you uploaded all the files, even if only upgrading.
