I will give it a try on vb3.6.4 and will post my result here soon :)

Ok guys, I have tested it on the new installation of vb 3.6.4 on my localhost and it's working smooth! I checked all the features and found no problems at all :) now I am gonna add it on my live forums ;)

Thanks for this great hack..

Hi there Guys,
Great hack! One question I do have after reading the 38 pages :)

I have a for sale section on my site which I have setup a promotion after 3 months or 20 posts to prevent people from just off loading stuff and never returning.

I have added the appropriate information into the postbit template and wondering whether it's possible to exclude certain usergroups from having the itrader rating until they are promoted?

At present it shows up whether or not they have access to the for sale section.

Any help would be great.

Cheers

Under
PHP Code:

<!-- Trader Ratings -->

Try changing
PHP Code:

<if condition="$post['userid']"

to
PHP Code:

<if condition="$post['userid'] AND in_array($post[usergroupid], array(x,y,x))"

Where x,y and z are the usergroup ids you wish to show the trader rating for.

Understand I haven't tested this, I just figured it out for you. And I don't consider myself a coder any more, so it may not work. But it's worth a try.

bL@De 12-28-2006 08:35 AM

Spinball just letting you know that worked absolutely perfectly, thanks a mint!

VBUsers 12-30-2006 08:55 AM

DaNIEL MeNTED 01-03-2007 10:59 PM

Asked elsewhere but I might as well try here - I just installed photopost classifieds and would like to use iTrader instead of their built in feedback system.... any help on how to modify the profile page to show itrader info?

King Justice 01-13-2007 10:19 PM

This is seriously one of the best plugins available for vBulletin. Without this plugin, I don't think vBulletin would have gotten as far is it has. Keep up the great work, and thank you so much for this!<3

Spinball 01-17-2007 07:27 AM

Since Jason is no longer supporting this hack and hasn't visited vBulletin.org since Spetember '06, does someone else want to take up this hack and develop it further?

That would be nice, but someone or the one who would take up this should try to contact him.

He can be contacted here: http://www.extremeoverclocking.com/contact_info.php

Apart from this one question.

I'm thinking about a further control in the hack like this:

control if the user who rates has posted at least once in the thread he name for the rating.

any idea who the statement should look like?

Another interesting option would be a moderation queue for ratings (maybe only for users that have less than x positive ratings).

Where did he say that?

pipin 01-20-2007 05:51 PM

i mailed Jason and he tries to upload the update within the next week.

Trana 01-20-2007 07:10 PM

How can I change which usergroup # receives the suspicious activity and negative rating emails?

Thanks!

hitboy 01-25-2007 10:49 AM

Edit all the usergroup permissions (all groups default to no access). The iTrader permissions will show up at the bottom of the list.

i am sorry but I am a newb to vb but I dont understand this step in the read me file. Is it telling me to edit usergroup permissions for forum permissions or which ones sorry im confused.

bp323 01-27-2007 02:57 AM

I really need to figure this out, any help???

hitboy 01-27-2007 02:59 AM

one thing you might consider is not reposting 10 minutes later everyone needs help lol and its probably a firewall on your server ask your host

bp323 01-27-2007 06:21 PM

so no one else has encountered this problem before?? Its narrowed down to the Main php scripting in the itrader_feedback.php file.

im asking my host right now

Your problem is related to 'SecurePHPx ' whatever that is.

bp323 01-28-2007 06:24 PM

I'm going to be gone for about 30min (from when I post this comment), so if someone else in this thread reports something is broken, please wait to download it so I can fix it.

Scott - It shouldn't be too difficult... Mostly just where it does the checks for transaction type, add a couple phrases & modify the templates.

I couldn't get it to work. It gave me an error message. I'll have to redo everything and get you that error message. I couldn't find anything for usergroup premissions for the Itrader settings. I believe that was the message saying I don't have permission, but again I couldn't find it under the control panel. After I refresed Admin Control Panel it only showed Itrader tools, but scores under that.

This is pretty sweet. Does it work with 3.6x? I assume it works with 3.5x already, but am mainly interested in 3.6x.

Yes, I have it on my 3.6.4 forum.

cajunboy2208 01-31-2007 04:51 AM

Can someone help me as to where to input this in the required fields?

<if condition="$post['userid']"><div>iTrader: (<b><a href="itrader.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$post[userid]">$post[itrader_total]</a></b>)</div></if>

Here is what it looks like for the following
postbit
<if condition="$show['reputation']"><if condition="$show['reppower']">$vbphrase[reppower]: <span id="reppower_$post[postid]_$post[userid]">$post[reppower]</span> </if><div><span id="repdisplay_$post[postid]_$post[userid]">$post[reputationdisplay]</span></div></if>

<if condition="$post['userid']"><div>iTrader: (<b><a href="itrader.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$post[userid]">$post[itrader_total]</a></b>)</div></if>

postbit_legacy
<span id="reputationmenu_$post[postid]"><a href="reputation.php?$session[sessionurl]p=$post[postid]" rel="nofollow" id="reputation_$post[postid]"><img class="inlineimg" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/reputation.gif" alt="<phrase 1="$post[username]">$vbphrase[add_to_xs_reputation]</phrase>" border="0" /></a></span>
<if condition="$show['popups']"><script type="text/javascript"> vbrep_register("$post[postid]")</script></if>

<if condition="$post['userid']"><div>iTrader: (<b><a href="itrader.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$post[userid]">$post[itrader_total]</a></b>)</div></if>

memberinfo

<if condition="$userinfo['reputationdisplay']"><div align="center">$userinfo[reputationdisplay]</div></if>

<if condition="$post['userid']"><div>iTrader: (<b><a href="itrader.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$post[userid]">$post[itrader_total]</a></b>)</div></if>

and memberlist_resultbit

<if condition="$show['usertitlecol']"><div class="smallfont">$userinfo[usertitle]</div></if>
<if condition="$userinfo[fieldx]"><div class="smallfont">$vbphrase[gender]<img src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/$userinfo[fieldx].gif" alt="$userinfo[fieldx]" /></div></if>

<if condition="$post['userid']"><div>iTrader: (<b><a href="itrader.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$post[userid]">$post[itrader_total]</a></b>)</div></if>

But nothing is showing up on the forums. I just kind of randomly placed them somewhere, i think below the reputation ratings, I'm still new to this, so I don't really know. But anyways, I have it turned on, and to where the users can use it. I am guessing I just put the code in wrong or something. Help would be awesome.

Ok it shows in the user profile under reputation, but not on the posts in forums, which is where I need it badly.

cajunboy2208 02-01-2007 10:40 PM

Can I please get some help?

cajunboy2208 02-02-2007 04:50 PM

OK I added it in postbit_legacy, it now shows on the user when they post in the forum. But it just shows their stats. It won't let you add to it or anything.

NM I got it now sheesh. Friggin coding. I suck at it, but getting it.

TorGa3iGhT 02-04-2007 08:41 AM

ok...so i installed this plugin on my test server and it worked fine...then I installed it on the normal server, and it's not showing up...like all the settings are showing in the admin cp, but there is no "rating 100% (1)" thing showing under their avatar.

Any ideas?

From Template Info.php...

Most likely you will want to add the score info to the postbit and/or postbit_legacy template(s), MEMBERINFO, and memberlist_resultsbit template. Actual placement and style is entirely up to you, however here's a sample to get you started. Note that the MEMBERINFO & memberlist_resultsbit templates won't need the conditional around the text since you can't view a "guest" in those cases.

PHP Code:

<if condition="$post['userid']"><div>iTrader: (<b><a href="itrader.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$post[userid]">$post[itrader_total]</a></b>)</div></if>

Just add the code to the postbit or postbit_legacy template

Installed working great thanx
does seem to suck up alot of mysql space

What do you mean by that? It only adds two tables to your DB.

thanks...yeah, that seemed to work...if I wanted it to have a percentage as well like ebay, how would that be written? when I ran it on the test server it looked kinda like this:

i-trader: 100% (1) - (1)

or something like that above...just basically with the point value being also a percentage...in any event, thanks for your help already, and thanks in advance for future help :)

You have two itrader variables that you can use itrader_total and itrader_pcnt
you could use something like $post[itrader_pcnt]

TorGa3iGhT 02-04-2007 05:29 PM

works great! Thanks for your help!
