I track it in AdSense, you have special report for custom channels as this mod uses custom search integration. So, money earned with this mod you'll see there. Don't know about GA, didn't checked where info would be shown.

And you don't need to do anything (of course, you need to install this mod following instructions and conect custom search with AdSense).

Can you tell me how you did this? I cant seem to figure out how to connect this search to a custom channel...

Alan_SP 12-25-2014 11:38 AM

You don't do that. You just need to configure custom search how do you like it and in tab Make money you need to associate it with your AdSense ID. After that everything works, ads shown on your custom search pages are linked to your account.

I believe I am. I'm showing ads: (see: http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparf...s-street-strip)

I just don't know if its connected to a custom channel or not, or does it do that automatically?

Alan_SP 12-25-2014 03:05 PM

If you just show ads, that means nothing. Google shows ads until you purchase option without ads. Only thing is, if Google shares earnings with you or not. You need to connect your AdSense account to receive some money from your these ads.

As I said, you do this in Custom Search CP->Choose your site (I have more than one, if you have only one maybe you don't need to choose your site)->Setup->Make Money. In that tab (Make Money) you connect your AdSense account.

If you did that, you see your AdSense ID there. And money starts to come. And it's not channel. It's type of product.

Go and see custom search ACP, it would be much clearer there what you should do.

You can ignore this as long as the ID is correct

You can't add additional ad units on the search results page, no. The ads that are displayed should already have your ads displayed, so you really don't need any more ads.

Just installed on my site.

Working fine so far.

For those that can help guide me.....

How can I track the mod via Adsense and Google Analytics?

For GA, there is a report under Behavior > Site Search - the query parameter is still q , so nothing should have to be changed.

You can modify the template 'see_more_gsearch_form'

I am associated -- the only thing is the revenue doesn't show under the custom channels like was said earlier, it shows under the Products tab
