I'll get it for you in a moment, but the logger says "Communication: Platform returned error http status code:403"

Would this work as a bridge between two forums
forum 1
wordpress (as the registration site for both forums)
forum 2

Any ideas

After following the instructions, vBulletin keeps telling me that it is unable to verify the platform. I read through all the responses here and nothing seems to work.

Your help would be appreciated.

If you enable logging according to the instructions available at http://vbsso.com/platforms/vbulletin/ "Enable Logging" and send me a private message for review, I would be able to point you to the source of the issue.

We recommend to check the url you are trying to connect platform through to ensure it is accessible. 403 is forbidden.

Unfortunately this feature wouldn't start working out of the box.

Both WordPress and vB URL's are accessible. Still getting the error message.

The plug-in is telling me to use this URL.

http://mydomain.com/wp-content/plugins/vbsso/vbsso.php

When I go to the page manually, I get this:

{"product":4,"version":"3.3.1"}
Looks like it may not be a permission issue, any thoughts?

Thanks

Right. We actually faced the similar issue with other guys too, where the reason was in their hosting provider. There was a configuration blocked internal requests and they had to change their hosting environment. So, that's not really a software issue and we recommend to figure this out with your hosting provider.

Thank you,

Thank you,

My hosting provider responded with this:

If I could get some technical information about how it works and what it does behind the scenes, I might be able to identify the problem and fix it. A simple 403 Forbidden message tells me nothing without some context as to what the system was trying to do.

Briefly telling the plugin installed on vBulletin side actually opens CURL connection to WordPress platform and gets response error code 403 Forbidden. From other side vBSSO WordPress url/page is accessible outside if somebody opens it in a browser as usual, thus something blocks the requests initiated by CURL PHP library to host where WordPress is installed. You might like explaining this to your hosting provider, so, let them take a look at source code or give me access to your environment(if it's possible) to test this out on a quick sample and show this to your hosting provider then. Please don't hesitate to send me a private message if you want to be in touch according to your environment.
