hmmm...

just install on fresh install of in 3.8.1 patch1 its all messed up :(
the side column is on the RIGHT for starters  (is that correct behavior)
and all it contains is:

------

contact us (link)

x (broken image)

contact us (link

------

and that's it  and broken images in other areas (but not all... its not file path).

Anyone have troubles with a first install on a fresh vb3.8.1 install ? did I miss something (probably but I can't figure it out right now :( )

EDIT: ahhh just saw the posts with exact same problems.......... man, so its not an "out of the box" skin. heh.
man, dunno if I have time to custom it THAT much. this is one of my additional forums. :(

Also how did this image miss the root directory..?

Something isn't right.. some images paths are correct, & some aren't.
Wait.. are some supposed to be loaded into a root folder & some, somewhere else.?
Or did i just screw it up.? lol (i dont think it is me..)

also in your profile, under your pic, its missing the text part of the link for 'Pics of *username*'

the link is there, but nothing in the word part. Checked the code and it has a vbphrase of [pics_of_x]

apparently vb doesnt recognize that because I put [albums_created_by_x] and it orks.

can I ask if you ever "solved" those problems? and get it look like the example?
or did you just have to hack into it?

As you will see from my post that I am a newbie with vBulletin, this is my first forum. When I tried to upload vbulletin-style I get this message. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

This file was created using a different version of vBulletin from the one you are running.

Your version: 3.8.1
File version: 3.8.0 Beta 3

ended up using it as a start, did loads of my own edits to it... just play around with it, you'll see where everything is and you can add stuff with basic html commands if you're comfortable by editing the 'footer' template....

yah. I'm ok with editing. Just can't spend loads of time figuring it all out as this is just for one of a few forums I have.

The major thing I want to get to work is putting the sidebar back on the left.
ANY tips would be greatly appreciated to help avoid some of the trial-and-error of figuring "what is where"?

Sounds like most major editing is needed in the footer?

TNCclubman 03-26-2009 05:53 AM

yep most of it is in the footer... I have it on the right... earlier on in this thread I think someone posted how to get it on the left...(I think)

Has this skin been abandoned by the designer?

merk_aus 03-30-2009 10:26 PM

I would say so alot of the demos and addons for it the site is down ebuddy is not really working - registrations no longer get approved - and there has been no word from the creator of this as to the misleading screenshots or how to fix it up.
