this module is conflicting with my interactive profile module (visionscript) when i add comments in the user's profile, it adds 1 queries for every comment added in the member profile page... however, when i disable this module , then it works fine without queries being added anymore for each comment.. anyone got the same problem and know the fix for this???

@flindersredclaw

Zoints SEO is currently incompatible with:
1. Incompatibility with vBA Gallery link.
2. Incompatibility with vBA Links
3. Improper linking from vBA CMPS Recent threads
4. Google Maps
[S]5. Non english characters[/S] - Character replacement is now available.

That is a problem of your SEO hack not this one.

Well I've installed it and set it up as stated in the instructions but for some reason my main map does not show, anyone have any ideas?

**Edit**
I've since discovered that it is my zoints seo addon which is causing the problem. Has anyone found a solution to this yet? Is there a way of possibly excluding the googlemap page form the zoints seo?

No one gets paid to give support here, if they have time or want to support it they do. These hacks are provided for free for our own use. If we can't get it to work, that's really our problem, not thiers.

No, nowhere in this thread did it say it was incompatable. But, in the Zoints SEO thread it's outlined quite clearly. I have filed a ticket with them, which they provide support for free, to try and get this issue resolved. It's of no fault of the author of this hack that Zoints is incompatible with it, nor is it his or her responsibilty to fix it.

I don't know about you, but I enjoy having this place to find free hacks and appreciate every coder out there providing them. Telling them one hack is a waste of time doesn't really motivate them to continue providing hacks, and support for thier hack. Again, no one pays them, they do it because they enjoy giving to the community. The author is being productive by providing a hack that works for many people. It's not up to them to get the hack working on your forum, that's your job.

Then don't, uninstall, and move on.

Thanks da420

I'm working on the new version of all the googlemap versions.

Release is still on target for this year.

As for the SEO issue, SEO and special apps like googlemaps can give issues.

Most SEO products allow you to exclude certain pages from SEO so why not use that till I can investigate the matter. I'm sure the SEO people will look into it also.

I will look into it stony and let you know what happens

flindersredclaw 11-04-2006 12:54 PM

Nope Zoints does not have that option...
