Someone should really update the instructions for init.php to make this hack problem free in 3.0.3 instead of having to go through pages of repeating the same error from those who have just installed this hack ....

I ried to turn it on but I don't think I do.. what is GD2 exaclty? and how do I install it?

Go to your admincp, under Import and Maintenance, view PHP info
Check to see if you had gd enabled and which GD version

Mine looks like in the attachment.

If yours is not enabled, you may have to contact your webhost.

It has it but not the options you have..

This is all I have...

Support enabled
GD Version 1.6.2 or higher
FreeType Support enabled
FreeType Linkage with freetype
JPG Support enabled
PNG Support enabled
WBMP Support enabled

Is this something I need to upgrade on the server?

Well, there you go, yours is a version lower than 2.
You will need to ask your webhost to get GD2 working for you ( or do it yourself if you can -- I don't know how though )

ok i'm re-desinging my site, ever since i upgraded to VB3.0.3 (i suppose this is bad juju) i've been trying to get this to work again.

HOWEVER, when a regular usergroup id #2 tries to access this vbgarage, it says access denied, i tried setting the option to on or off, in the usergroup manager, however its always stuck on "yes"...

i'm assuming something is missiong from my DB, however where should i check? is there a column in usergroup that isn't there?

ok it seems that only "administrators" are allowed to access this...

Crazy question, but could this be used for something other than a garage? I run a site for clubbing/DJs/Music/etc, and I would love to adapt this to be a DJ Profile for my members, rather than a garage. Would it take more than just some basic text changes to make that work?

Then you will have to enable individual usergroups to be able to use the vbgarage.
Have you done that ?
I upgraded from 3.0.1 to 3.0.3 too without problems, just had to do the neccessary file edits to the php files again.
