Where exactly do I upload the "upload via FTP folder"? I installed and now all my posts have this error. I uploaded the entire folder into the "forums" directory. What gives?

Someone anyone please help. I am a new user and have never installed a hack successfully. I have managed to upload and install 2 versions of VB so I'm not slow. However, I know that I am not installing these files in the right directory. The instructions "upload via ftp folder" does not tell me where to install these files on the server. I uploaded into the "forums" directory and somehow I believe this was not the right way to go about it. I'm not lazy. I've been reading the VB Manual, this thread and googling to no avail. I just need to get past this basic threshold because I'd eventually like to be able to do these on my own.

If someone could just break that out for me, I feel that I will well be on my way. We were all newbies at one point. Please help a newbie out.

Sorry...

Upload the contents of that folder to your forums root folder...meaning everything in that folder drag into your forums folder keeping the structure. Does that make sense?haha

Thanks, but that is what I did initially. Something isn't right and I don't know what it is. I'm getting gray hairs over here. :o

The forums root folder IS the "forums" folder right?

Kevin it worked!!! :D Thanks for taking the time to help. One thing I noticed though is I can't see the thanks button as a moderator. But when I log in as a user I can see it and thank someone.

Anywho, much thanks from the noob. :)

I'm back! lol. So now that the Thanks button is there, some other buttons disappeared. The Edit and Quick Reply are gone. Along with the other issue above of not being able to see thanks as Admin. Any help is greatly appreciated.

i have installed this on my forum that i am working to get ready, however i have installed this mod from here and did all the import FTPing of all the files and images. but what i am having is that the post thank you buttons are not showing up at all on them. i am using postbit legacy, is it designed for postbit only. i prefer postbit legacy instead, might this be the problem? hopefully i can get help on this, and yes i have installed quite a bit of mods before, but this and the groan hack are 2 that i want to install but doesn't show up. oh just in case that i am missing, i am using the royalflush skin as well.

Upload to the buttons royalflush folder (where they actually go)

I have no idea why some of your buttons would disappear after just uploading this! LOL!!! You had to have done something else.
