I went ahead and nofollowed all vbay internal links (auctions, categories, etc) and disallowed all of the /vbay.php?do= pages in robots.txt. So my vbay homepage is the only page that should get crawled and indexed by google. I find this better than having a bunch of duplicate titles and meta's. Also saves on bandwidth :) So I'll leave it liek this until(if) someone can help out with the seo of vbay.

I have another question:

We all know that new auction users have to enter their address info one time when they click "sell", "buy it now", etc. It would be really nice if they would be redirected back to the page they clicked on before they had to enter their shipping info. Anyone know how to do this?

Example:
1. A forum member visits our forums vbay page for the first time.
2. He wants to post an auction right away, so he clicks on "sell".
3. The address page comes up where he has to enter his address.
4. After he submits his address info, he is redirected back to the vbay homepage. (I want it to redirect to the sell page)

This goes for every page.

I actually want every auction page to be crawled and I also want every auction page to have a se friendly URL.

Does anyone know of a vBay install on a site running VBSEO they can point me to?

Me too, but it's pointless for me without unique meta, titles and even h1 tags.

For example, I have the last element in my breadcrumb link tree wrapped in h1 tags.

But all of the last elements in vbay are "browsing categories" or "viewing item".

Do you think you will be doing this? If you say "Yes / Probably", I will hold off until you do (or then declare you wont). If you say "No / Unlikely", I will go with the current VB and buy VBSEO (uugh).

Also, did I read you had an advanced (pay for) version of vbay?

i will actually be most likely only releasing a new version for VB4, as it would be kind of pointless to upgrade the mod, then upgrade it again with the release of vb4.

yeah steve, i guess i thought i fixed this in the newest version.
its a simple fix, just add an addslashes to the wysiwyg variable before it gets entered into the db, and another stripslashes when its pulled out.

steve, search for the variable $message in the vbay.php file

Would someone be nice enough to fix this and post up the updated vbay.php file so i can just upload it and overwrite my current file...i'm setting up a breast cancer fundraising drive and want to use vbay to help raise money...
Thanks

Has anyone figured out how to do the bid increments lower?

I would be willing to pay someone to tell me.:)

I would also chip in some Money for the lower bid increments and a relist feature.

Is it possible to make users pay per listing? I've gone through all these threads but didn't see that anywhere. It seems like all you could do is to set up a "subscription" where people could upgrade to a seller's account, but there's no way under this software to limit the number of auction listings people could add.
